Dear Parents and Girls, Here’s what our girls and staff did in the past week: Thursday: A wonderful Concert for Jacob raises £2,500 for the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund - girls sing, dance and play beautifully (thanks Mr Lloyd and Mrs Ashdown). Friday: our dance-a -thon raises over £8,000 for Sports Relief. Every girl in the school takes part. Brilliant fun and fundraising (thanks Miss James) Saturday: Year 11 GCSE girls in school working on their coursework in English and Computing (thanks Mrs Ashdown and Mr Whiteside). Sunday: Drama department working all day with the girls to put finishing touches to House Plays (thanks Mrs Schilt and Miss Waller). Monday: Hustings for the Sixth Form Leadership team - 14 girls address the whole school in their bid to lead their peers - brave and proud. (thanks Mr Edmunds and Ms Boyes); A Level Dance students take their final practical exam. Tuesday: We host 70 Japanese girls visiting from a school in Tokyo (thanks Mrs Mashford); all of Year 8 go on a Maths and Science Day to Chessington World of Adventure (thanks Mr Higgins); Sixth Form go to watch Giselle by the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House (thanks Ms Boyes and Mr Whiteside); GCSE Dance students take their final practical exam. Wednesday: House Play competition. Girls perform, directed by Sixth Formers - Grey win. Well done! Music students from across the school take their Associated Board exams. I’m sure you will agree it has been a pretty packed last week of term!
