It’s been an extraordinary journey for John Grant, from a point where he thought he would never make music again or escape a life of substance abuse to winning awards and accolades, collaborating with Sinead O’Connor, Rumer and Hercules & Love Affair and having his music featured in the awardwinning film Weekend.
Grant has never shied away from discussing depression, and new album Pale Green Ghosts is a show of strength and survival, of moving on with life, on what will continue to be an incredible journey. 'It's hard to imagine a more enjoyable and rewarding hour of music.' The Guardian (album of the week) ***** Fri 27 Jun, 7pm doors Concert Hall £21.50 standing

Mef and Red have known each other since they were kids before signing to Def Jam. While they have been collaborating since 1994 (including Tupac Shakur's Got My Mind Made Up), it wasn’t until 1999 that they released a studio album, Blackout! A sitcom for Fox TV followed and in 2001 they starred together in the movie How High. Grammy award-winning Method Man has no shortage of hits, having released four solo studio albums; two albums with Redman and four platinum-selling albums as part of legendary hip hop supergroup Wu-Tang Clan. Critically acclaimed Redman has released seven solo albums to date, five of which went gold or platinum. This is one you will not want to miss. Bryony Kimmings
Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model In an audacious, provocative protest against flagrant global attempts to sexualise and commodify childhood for profit, award-winning artist Bryony Kimmings (Sex Idiot, 7 Day Drunk) and her nine-year-old niece Taylor decided to play the global tween machine at its own game by inventing dinosaur-loving, bike riding, tuna pasta-eating, alternative pop star Catherine Bennett. Winner of a clutch of awards at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013, including 3 Weeks Editors Award, Fringe First Award and Fringe Review Outstanding Achievement Award, this is your last chance to see this show. Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model is set in a fantasy land far from our own, where lines are drawn in the sand, girls become knights, eyeballs are gouged, wars are waged and people sell their souls. In typically screwball and humorous fashion, Bryony begs the question: what does it really take to be a Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model for a child of the 21st century?

We all know know what happened when the Nazis came to power and the world went to war. But how did it happen? How did it affect people like us? And how can we be sure it won’t happen again? Those are the questions that Bertolt Brecht poses in Fear And Misery of The Third Reich. Marshalling a wonderful array of characters in a vibrant recreation of life under Nazi rule, Firecracker probes the theatricality of tragedy in a series of ironical vignettes that reveal the secrecy and suspicion, denial and defiance of life in Nazi Germany. Mogwai Over the last two decades, Mogwai have quietly cornered the market for multi-layered post-rock cool. The band’s largely instrumental works are soundscapes in the truest sense of the word: guitarheavy, effects-laden evocations of stark grandeur and tranquil beauty. Now Mogwai brings its eighth album to life in an epic live event. Rave Tapes mines the same rich seams of inspiration as Mogwai’s previous releases, veering from slowburn sonic scowls to dramatic, ecstatic electronica: with this album, Mogwai’s mastery of sound and space reaches its apex. Given a chance to redeem themselves in the ensuing battle to restore peace, their action-packed adventure becomes a celebration of camaraderie and the triumph of the human spirit.
