Combination of Language, Literature, History and Culture The Faculty of Letters, consisting of the Department of English, Indonesian, History, and a Graduate Program in Literature, promotes creative cultural innovation through the academic inquiry in language, literature, and history. Language, literature, and history are viewed as cultural phenomena in which the literary text, language, and history are the synthesis of Indonesian cultural realities and critical thinking. As Indonesian culture is part of and related to the global world, especially to colonialism, Western imperialism, capitalism, and socialism, the Faculty of Letters welcomes students, lecturers, or researchers from other countries to participate in study and research in the Indonesian language, literature, and culture; English language and literature, and history. Faculty of Science and Technology The Faculty of Science and Technology consists of four four-year undergraduate departments specializing in science and technology. This faculty combines the academic excellence and humanistic values in the study of Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. Besides having strong links with top universities and colleges abroad, the faculty has close ties with the industry so that students will always have access to up-to-date course materials relating to real problems. Learning by Doing and Competing The alumni have been spread and working in many fields of industry all over Indonesia and abroad. Employment opportunities for the alumni are in manufacturing industries (engineering products, transportation, chemistry, oil and energy, mining, etc.), banking and financial industries, entertainment/amusement field, research institutions, education institutions, and entrepreneur. Wooden Windmill Innovation Winner FST, Sanata Dharma University team won the WWI competion. The windmill were able to produce a big source of electricity. In 50 hours, the windmill produced 4.069 watt or 80 watt per hour, with average wind velocity 6.25 meter per sec.

FST has many MoU with governments, industries, and other education institutions that extend our capacity to do community services and research based on awareness on local and global issues; Industrial Revolution 4.0, Community 5.0, environment and ethical issue, pandemic, etc. Currently, FST is working on deployment and installation of electricity power generator based on renewable energy technology; windmill and solar power plant at some area in Indonesia. FST has Driyarkara Racing Team that has developed prototype of energy efficient car and joined the national competition of Energy Efficient Car Contest.

The Doctorate Program in Cultural Studies (DPCS), the Graduate program in Cultural Studies (GPCS) and the Graduate Program in English Language Studies (GPELS). All the programs offer interdisciplinary studies, which have become the uniqueness and strength of the graduate school. Students are encouraged to learn multi theoretical perspectives relevant to their fields of study. They are also trained to develop their research skills and to publish their academic works as well as research results in journals and or books. Graduates are expected to be public intellectuals with solid theoretical foundation to develop interdisciplinary studies and to address current issues. The graduate Program in Cultural Studies offers four program concentrations, i.e. critical education, religious study, ethics and aesthetics, as well as historiography and social movement. Meanwhile, the Graduate Program in English Studies offers interdisciplinary program in three concentrations, namely Literature, Linguistics, and English Education. In the GPELS, foundational courses are in the first semester and concentrated courses tailored to the needs of the students are in the following semesters.
