CELEBRATING YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE WEST THIS NOVEMBER! Victorian Youth Week is a celebration of young people aged 10 to 25. Victorian Youth Week is a celebration of young people aged 10 to 25 that happens every year in April. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Youth Week events in Victoria had to be cancelled. The good news is that Youth Week 2020 has been rescheduled to happen this November – with all events and activities happening online! We’ve put together in this brochure a fun line-up of events that recognise, celebrate and support the unique and inspiring young people in our local communities. This brochure contains virtual events happening across the West, including not just Brimbank but also Hobsons Bay, Moonee Valley and Wyndham. Connect to Nature Through Birdwatching BRIMBANK CITY COUNCIL Learn how easy it is to spend time with birds, tips on identifying them and how to behave around them. Get to know some of the birds that call Kororoit Creek home through many of the images captured by presenter Ursula Dutkiewicz. She will also share how the wonders of local nature inspire her art. Garage Sale Trail Goes Virtual GARAGE SALE FOUNDATION Garage Sale Trail 2020, the COVID-19 recovery edition, is coming to town on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. With new ways to be involved online, this year you can participate in Garage Sale Trail no matter what restrictions are in place. Host a sale online or attend one of our reuse masterclasses. Manga Drawing Online Workshop With Kenny Chan BRIMBANK LIBRARIES Artist Kenny Chan shows you how to draw manga! Either manga-style faces that will convey emotion through character expressions, or mechas in the Super Robot style.
