HELLO. I am an interior designer who has experience in both commercial and residential design, for both small studios and larger firms, as well as freelancing. My passions lie in working directly with clients in order to understand what will best suit their needs, extract their own aesthetic, and then custom design a meaningful world just for them. I love developing color palettes and repurposing old items. Keeping a space clear from clutter and VOC’s alike, is very important and there is always opportunity to re-use what one already has. I am a capable and responsible individual, and I go about my work with a positive energetic attitude. I enjoy every aspect of the design job from sourcing materials, drawing up plans and elevations, to thoughtfully crafting appealing presentations. After graduating from Endicott College in 2011, I traveled to Europe and Canada and gained experience working for international interior design agencies. I recently moved back to my home state (raised in Midcoast Maine) to settle down and further develop my career in Interior Design.

This project involved creating a grounded space for a Portland transplant from the west. He has both a love of Maine antiques and Native art. The rented one-bedroom lacked a sense of direction. By taking hues from collected artwork, it was possible to weave together a cohesive, rich, apartment bursting with style, clever storage and displays of cherished items.

First-time homeowners in Bath, ME requested my help with renovations. We’ve had the challenge of battling old wallpaper and outdated themes, while keeping some historic character of the house. This process is about empowering the client to shape their environment, and hone in on their style. By strategically remodelling one room at a time, we are able to pursue the project at a comfortable pace. Utilizing neutral tones allows for a clean background and much flexibility, as this couple begins to collect their own treasures.

A bright, playful color pallete results in a vibrant area for residents to mingle. Large-scale geometric wall art and bench seating wrap around large sections of the lobby, setting the tone for this interactive community-based apartment complex. Adjacent to the main space is a fully-equipped gym. Designed with MGA interiors team.

This four-story luxurious shopping space was designed by the team at Studio David Thulstrup. My responsibilities included creating the CAD drawings including floor plans, elevations and furniture diagrams. Our clients were located in China, and client presentations had to be made often. I sourced material samples from various distributors, collected design ideas from the team, and developed them into cohesive presentations.

My thesis project focused on the roles in the home via a 10-story condominium project in Boston’s North End. This multifunctional building is designed to house varyingly sized units along with community spaces. The project focused on fostering dialogue about gender roles in the home. Much of our daily working life happens in sequestered spaces. By creating open and visible working spaces, gender-coded roles were brought into the open, where they can be discussed and re-imagined.

“...Brionne proved a competent, responsible and quick-learning intern who we could entrust with important tasks. From the start of her internship she was involved in the manifold design and drawing processes of our projects, and in particular she had the following tasks: Material Research, Model Building, the Delivery of Creative Solutions, the Development of Client Presentations and Drawing Works. Furthermore, Brionne was a team player who has been popular with her colleagues and clients alike. She was efficient, passionate, accurate and energetic at work, full of creative ideas and capable in executing them. Additionally, Brionne has the talent and ability to understand theoretical concepts and to execute them into practice. - DAVI D T HUL STRUP

Founder of STU DI O David T hulstrup

“Brionne’s enthusiasm and fresh take on design and materials was a welcome addition to our interiors team. I appreciated her motivation toward thoughtful design and eagerness to push our team to think beyond our client’s expectations and provide options they may have never considered.

Bri’s strong graphic sensibilities aided us in our presentations to clients. These skills displayed her potential for becoming a wellrounded designer, as did her willingness to take on, and thorough execution of, unfamiliar and unexpected tasks for a junior designer such as responding to general contractors’ RFI’s and submittals during construction administration. I am fortunate to have had Bri in the interiors group while at MGA. She would make a great addition to any team who is seeking an energetic, highly creative, personable, and hard-working designer.” - alexa nder auj ero

“Bri tutored me in SketchUp software during her senior year at Endicott. I had just transferred in to Endicott right in the middle of obtaining my BA degree in Interior Design. It was very difficult to ramp up with a new software program and complete my coursework at the same time. We were both full time students. Bri and I spent many hours together that semester working on my projects while she taught me to be efficient with SketchUp. She also helped me to acclimate to my new environment at a new college. She was great! She always encouraged me. I am indebted to her forever for helping me through that first semester and will never forget that time. She is very dedicated and a hardworking professional that I would highly recommend anytime. - DEBORAH BEAMAN
