Your grand entry to Brisbane Festival, BOQ Festival Garden is back. An inner-city wonderland of food, wine, entertainment and discovery, the popular South Bank destination will be humming both day and night. Roving performers, free concerts, large-scale installations including Ephemeral, The Pool (USA) and spectacular performances at a reimagined South Bank Piazza ensure there is something for everyone. Day or night, free and open to all, BOQ Festival Garden is your entry to the wonder of Brisbane Festival.

Relax by the river at the Festival’s two bars – the Pavilion Bar and the Piazza Bar. Gather friends and family and enjoy delectable eats by The Charming Squire or sip on a delightful De Bortoli Rosé or an Archie Rose Gin and Blackberry Spritz. Or if a brew is more your style, Felons Brewing Company have plenty on offer. And for feasting, venture to our partner restaurants at South Bank for delectable eats. BOQ Festival Garden opens with Jumoo, our very special opening ceremony. School holidays are a breeze with a sensational line up of shows and activities including the world premiere of Bolster & Lee’s The Knock ‘Em Downs, the astonishing feats of Cirque O L I O and the fourwheeled phenomenon Found Objects.

Closing night of Brisbane Festival will see an incredible line up of free performances and music, for all the family to enjoy. Our closing night BOQ Festival Garden program has been supported by Brisbane City Council.

Bolster and Lee

The Knock ‘Em Downs is a comically interactive and visually engaging trip back in time to the sideshows of old. Step inside the colourful tent and experience a crazy world of fun and games, where nostalgia has taken a curious twist and the carnies have turned into clowns! Meet Krackers ‘n Jam, two fools who are out to fool you. With Krackers ‘n Jam you can expect more than just a tasty bite. Featuring a variety of sideshow games sure to test your skill, with big prizes to be won, this odd-ball encounter will have you wishing you’d brought along your granny.
