FREE SWIMMING POOLS IN BRISBANE

If you are looking to cool down this summer, but don’t have a pool of your own, then bundle up the family, put on your swimwear, and head to one of these awesome swimming pools in Brisbane. A great way to beat the heat without breaking the bank or having to travel too far, these swimming pools are open to the public and, best of all, they are FREE for everyone to use!

The Boat Pool

South Bank, Stanley Street Plaza, South Brisbane

Facilities: Pool, toilets, change rooms, dining options, BBQs, shaded areas, wheelchair accessible. From a simple splash and play to actual lap swimming, the Boat Pool has an accessible ramp and is patrolled by lifeguards too. With sandy beaches on one side and rocky walls on the other, the area also has toilet facilities nearby. Don’t forget to check out the Aquativity water play area and the man-made Streets Beach, which are also at South Bank.

Redcliffe Lagoon

Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe

Facilities: Lagoon pool, splash pad, fountains, playground, toilets, change rooms, BBQs, picnic tables, wheelchair accessible.

Redcliffe Lagoon, part of Settlement Cove at Redcliffe, has clear waters and offers stunning views over Moreton Bay. In addition to the large lagoon, there is a fenced water play area for toddlers featuring a splash pad, shallow pool, and fun mushroom fountains.

Ramp access to the pool makes it accessible for those in a wheelchair, while lifeguards are generally on duty from September to May.
