INTRODUCTION

Thank you for taking the time to pick up this little booklet. It attempts to summarise the work I have undertaken while at the Bristol School of Animation. I am a 2D animator, illustrator, visual development artist and designer with a keen interest in sculpture and stop motion. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Animation at University for the West of England. With a passion for storytelling I have been focusing primarily on romance, food and animated interviews. This being said I do not in any way wish to limit my horizons. I grew up in the British Virgin Island and then came to England for boarding school in Suffolk. This has allowed for my approach to animation to be very open minded. Design and visual development are my greatest areas of focus but I also am comfortable illustrating and cartooning as well as character animation and voice acting. I have illustrated a book by Julian Putley, done 1 weeks work experience with Rumpus Animations and 1 weeks work experience with Evil Genius Studios. My future plans are to keep my options open within the animation industry. However I am setting my sights towards freelancing for the studios of Bristol and London. If the oppurtunity arises I am willing to travel/relocate and am also flexible to work in-house or remotely.

This film was an infantile idea September 2012. It was forgotten and then rekindled August 2013 and has been worked on on/off since to its completion for graduation. It is a love story in which two neighbours unknowingly yet simultaneously embark on a culinary journey, in which their varying skills result in a fortunate mishap.

I took on the project in the summer of 2013 and began researching the various bars, restaurants, beach shacks and eateries around the British Virgin Islands (the place where Hannah was born and raised). The books style was mainly cartoon line illustrations however I tried to maintain a n accurate depiction of the bars and restaurants. FOLK’S TALE

Due to plans for it to be a series and potential a more long winded process I held back on following through on Folk’s Tale in order to focus solely on Cupboard Love. Folk’s Tale is an animated interview about how my parents met and stayed together as expats in the British Virgin Islands. It is frought with drama and suspense as is the case with many love stories of the Caribbean, making an ideal pilot for a potential series. Mom & Dad Character Designs as Mermaids

DON’T CROSS ME

Anijam 48 hr Competition Winner // Don’t Cross Me

Length // 9 months During Encounters Film Festival 2013, Anijam held a 48 hour competition with the theme of JOURNEY. A team including myself, Tom Gran, Madeleine Grossi and Laura Tofarides created this frivolous animation to capture said theme. The animation won the competition mostl likely due to its nonsensical and ludicrous nature. Its about a bridge keeper whose possesiveness earns him enough stress to pop!

Basia Basia Basia is a 90 second dark comedy written for DepicT.com a website that hosts short animated film competitions to be entered and shown to Encounters Film Festival and more. The story is about an oblivious little squirrel minding its own business in a Candian forrest . Unbeknown to him a hulky lumberjack has dramatic business to attend to involving a baby and a hideous drooling monster.

BBC Soundbites // UWE on Animation Duration // 30 sec Year // 2013-14 Role // Director, Animator Length // on going Company // BBC In 2012 a BBC official came to UWE to interview students on their opinion on the animation industry. Various students gave their opinion and a clip was compiled .

Our brief was to create a simplistic short aniamtion of talking heads to accompany said clip. I went for Office Animal as these were simplistc and easy caractures of people. I aim to continue this project leisurely in order to practice lip sync and character animation.
