Street Art & Culture

Perfect for students with a passion for art, eager to discover London’s art history

On this course students will develop a passion and understanding for British art and will even participate in a hands-on workshop with a professional street artist. Held at King’s College, participants will enjoy the many museums, exhibitions and historical art sites that London is famous for. While practicing their English and learning with likeminded students from around the world, students can enjoy learning about British culture and have fun with excursions and evening activities.

Course Outcomes

Course Aims

•V isit multiple art exhibitions across London including Tate Modern, National Gallery, the V&A museum and more.

On completion of this course, students will:

•W orkshop with London street artist where students will paint their own piece •D evelop English language skills through practical activities

• Have developed their language skills through practical activities and discussions.

• Have improved their communication skills in the context of art.

• Have developed their creativity skills.

• Be more confident in speaking English.

• Have visited multiple exhibitions across London including Tate Modern, National Gallery, the V&A museum and the UK's first street art gallery with original Banksy close to Portobello Market and the Saatchi Gallery.

• Have met and learned from English native-level speakers.

• Have a deeper understanding of English culture and art. • Have a deeper understanding of local and international modern art.

• Have their English level assessed by the BSC level test. • Be a more independent learner and global citizen. • Have had a transformational learning experience and developed skills for life.
