Letter from the Editor Hi Clutch Readers! It feels weird to think that this is my last magazine EVER! It feels like just yesterday I was a nervous freshman wanting to join a new club that I heard about. I never could have imagined what it would have brought me; at Clutch we become a family. We bond over our love for fashion and our always wanting to have fun attitudes. In this issue we took a new take on being powerful not only in your life, but in your clothing. Even though at times for this magazine we all got tired, late night styling sessions do that to you, we banded together and made the best photo shoots possible. It honestly really is worth it when you see the final product and know YOU had a part in it. I hope you all can see and notice all of our hard work and truly enjoy it. This magazine changes you and this issue will too. Best, Ashley Cook

The color of the year: orchid; a shade that one typically associates with a plant, yet a collaborative effort between Sephora and Pantone Color Institute brought forth several different products that allow the color to be worked into one's daily makeup routine. At first glance, you may be intimidated, but fear not. Because orchid is such a statement color, it's necessary to pick an area to maximize via the color. For example, if you're going for a bold, orchid lip, try a more subtle eye. That way, at first glance, one will notice your lips and not be overwhelmed by a face full of color. MAC, Smashbox, Dior and Sephora Collection have all come out with phenomenal orchid lipsticks and lipglosses that can be worn any season and on any skin tone. Orchid also makes for a fabulous bold eye. For example, in the collaboration between Sephora and Pantone, they made an orchid eyeliner and eye shadow. These two products can be worn together or added to an existing look for a bold pop. The most important element that comes along with the orchid makeup products is the confidence that one gains from them. It's not just about having the phenomenal eye look or the juicy lips, it's about embracing the look and having your personality pop as much as the color does.

As Bold As Your Personality

The Color of the Year:

Treat Your Hair to a Night in! Days in the sizzling Florida sun, humidity, and harsh chemicals from hair products keep your hair from looking its best. Treat your hair and save money with items you can find in your fridge!

By: Casey Siena

All Hair Types Raw egg is not only cheap but highly beneficial to hair! Egg yolk strengthens hair with natural fats and proteins. Egg whites contain bacteria eating enzymes that remove unwanted oils.

Dry or Sun Damaged Hair Honey attracts and locks in moisture. Just add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to loosen the honey and massage into hair!

TIP: Rinse hair with COLD water to avoid making scr ambled eggs.

TIP: For extreme sun damage, mix honey with protein rich ingredients like avocado or egg yolk to replenish keratin bonds

Dull Hair

Frizzy Hair

Dairy products help your hair absorb moisture and shine! Sour cream contains lactic acid that strips dirt while the milk fat moisturizes the strands leaving a natural shine. Non-flavored, preferable organic, yogurt soften and shine hair. Just massage the yogurt into hair before shampooing and leave for 30 minutes. TIP: Yogurt also works on skin to treat acne and sunburns!

Florida’s humidity is known for leaving hair frizzy and dry. The best cure to tame the frizz is a natural conditioner of avocado and olive oil which both have hydrating properties. The fatty acids in avocados help smooth strands. TIP: Use this treatment after shampooing leaving treatment on for 30 minutes to an hour. Condition hair afterwards just to remove the scent.

Beauty’s secret weapon:

Coconut oil

By: Gary Wong For anybody, a tropical vacation is a welcoming and relaxing escape. Imagine the soft sands, warm winds and ripe coconuts hanging off the trees. Now imagine that there was a way to bring all the revitalizing benefits of the tropics to your own bathroom! Coconut oil is not only a healthy alternative to traditional cooking oils, but it also has amazing benefits for beauty! 1.As a makeup remover: emulsify a dab of coconut oil between your hands and massage directly onto skin, breaking down any and all makeup, including waterproof! Follow with a cleaner and toner for a hydrating cleanse. 2.Hair treatment: work warm coconut oil into the hair, cover in plastic wrap and shampoo after 30 minutes for a full, beachy shine.

3.Toothpaste: Take two parts coconut oil, one part baking soda and a few drops of peppermint essential oil and create an affordable toothpaste free of metals and fillers. 4.Moisturizer:For both the face and body, a minute amount massaged into the skin will soften any dryness. 5.Teeth whitener: “Oil pulling” is a process of swishing coconut oil in the mouth for an average of 20 minutes. This method detoxifies the teeth, balances the PH levels of the mouth and freshens breath, all in one.

Collaborate With The Celebs: Written by: Laura Durkalec Brand Name Stores are Vamping up their Collections

C

lothing stores are always in a competition to keep their loyal customers and to also attract new ones. Aside from their known and loved collections that shoppers have been purchasing for years, it is time to revamp their brand and add something new to the mix. Many retail places such as New Balance, Pacsun, and H&M have brought in a famous celebrity to make a new collection with. When these brands team up with a famous star it is beneficial to both parties. Heidi Klum for example, a stunning model, TVhost, and designer made her own workout clothing line with New Balance. Her idea was to innovate the stylish runway look into durable exercise outfits. Pacsun has now made several ongoing collaborations with Kendall and Kylie Jenner. They come out with a new set of “Californian- bohemian style” collections with each new season. Their clothing line reflects both their casual and chic style. Buying clothes from their collection would be like picking out an outfit to wear from their very own closet.

H&M has partnered with David Beckham, to create a menswear line called David Beckham Bodywear. Not only did H&M obtain a well-known male figure but also an extremely handsome one to model his own product. By buying clothing from these collaborations the customers can now say, “I am wearing something that Heidi Klum designed” which makes the shopping experience that much better.

From Tallahassee to The Big Apple My experience at Seventeen Magazine By: Naomi Elizee

T

his past summer has been a whirlwind! I left everything I knew behind and moved to New York City to intern in the fashion department at Seventeen Magazine. Boy, was it such an incredible and worthwhile experience! As a fashion closet intern, everyday tasks consisted of check-ins and check-outs of the clothing, jewelry and accessory samples lent to Seventeen, as well as keeping the closet neat and organized. We also went to showrooms and corporate offices to pick up samples. This usually happened if the items were VERY valuable or we needed them quickly. It didn’t take me long to realize the editorial world takes absolutely no breaks and will always be on the go. In my first week, I was lucky enough to be given the chance to assist my boss on one of our editorial shoots. Between lugging around five trunks of clothing, to going on a coffee run only to realize the closest coffee shop isn’t within a mile distance, my time assisting on shoot was tiring, yet unbelievably exciting! Seeing the models, stylists and photographers in their element was eye opening. Other interns got to go on market appointments, where the market assistant goes to a showroom and picks the samples she feels have the Seventeen look. Then, the company sends over the pieces for the stylists to consider for photo shoots At the end of the day, I am thankful for the invaluable experience I am bringing back to Tallahassee from my time with Seventeen

H&M’s Newest Addition: By: Bria Blossom

Alexander Wang has been chosen as the guest designer for a collaboration this fall.

The

store’s designer collections have frequently been met with hype, fanfare, and products quickly selling out- and this November release is expected to be no exception. Alexander Wang has proven himself as one to watch in the fashion world, launching his eponymous brand in 2007 when he was only 24, and landing the role of Creative Director at Balenciaga last year, at 29. In collaborating with the Swedish retailer, Wang is in great company, joining the likes of designers Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant, and Karl Lagerfeld.

Despite H&M’s decade long history of guest designers, this fall marks the first time an American designer has been chosen to collaborate with the brand. In the unification, the collection will include a full line of apparel and accessories for both women and men to enjoy. The New York based designer has come to be known for his modern sportswear with an urban edge. Wang appears to be keeping true to his aesthetic for the collection based on previews posted to the designer’s Instagram page, which featured athletic-inspired pieces such as key chains from boxing gloves and logo-infused yoga mats. The collection will be available at about 250 stores worldwide, in addition to H&M’s online store, and certainly one you won’t want to miss out on.

Bouncy, free-flowing fringe is definitely making a bold statement this season. Whether it’s incorporated through suede, leather or chunky, blanket-like knits, fringe has saturated the runway. From Michael Kors’ full-fringed skirt, to Valentino’s attention to detail by adding fringe to bags and shoes, to Emilio Pucci’s chunky, handknit inspired fringe ponchos and sweatshirts, fringe is a must-have item in your wardrobe. These flouncy tassels are the ideal way to make your outfit more intriguing this fall – not to mention, it adds just the right amount of Seminole flair to your game day outfit, be it subtle or daring. If you aren’t feeling – or in some cases, finding – a full-fledged tasseled dress or skirt, pair a small, fringed satchel or scarf with any dress or oversized sweater to amplify your look. Be bold, buy fringe.

Crazy for Culottes I

don’t know about you, but I am seriously swooning over these cropped wide leg pants this season. Varieties of colors, patterns and textures make these pants such a statement piece and are perfect to dress up or down (and flattering for all shapes and sizes, mind you!) With a fun 60s mod feel, the tailored culottes can be seen in shows such as Dion Lee, Tibi and Alexander Wang among many others. Find a fun texture such as suede or even velvet to pair with a plain tee and patterned pumps for a professional look or try a fun patterned pair with a crop top and flat or high heeled sandal for a more casual look. Culottes are a definite must-have this season, and I can guarantee that you will be

Atypical Angles T

he trend speaks for itself. Seen in shows such as Helmut Lang, Opening Ceremony, and Phillip Lim, the designers played with asymmetrical hems and irregular angles giving the simple garments a layering effect with an exciting and unusual flare. Try a pencil or mini skirt (or skort) with a funky, angular hemline or find a flirty dress with a unique wrap effect. Whether it’s a flowy chiffon or structured leather, this is the perfect way to elevate a simple look and give it that interesting twist. If you aren’t able to get your hands on a skirt or dress with a graphic pattern that you love, what I admire most about this trend is that this silhouette can be worn in the most minimalistic ways. Try an all black and white edgy look or play with gray and whites and pair with a simple black, heeled sandal; the angular hems or silhouette will be enough to give your outfit that “wow” factor. Bring in a pop of color with a fun clutch, handbag, or statement necklace! Graphics is the New Black The Rise of Graphic Prints and Patterns By: Claire LaRocca

T

his fall, a new and exciting trend can be seen with the mixing and matching of different patterns with a multitude of graphic tees. Graphic tees automatically add life and color to any original outfit and add an element of lighthearted fun to wardrobes. Gone are the days where if your outfit did not match color for color, then you were looked at with a leering eye. Fashion has taken on a fresh and spirited persona with the idea that individuality should shine in your wardrobe. Times have changed and the mixing of patterns and graphics has taken uproar in the fashion industry and can be seen in many large corporation style campaigns such as Nordstrom and J. Crew. Whether your style is more laid back, or a little more sophisticated, adding a graphic tee to your wardrobe is the perfect way to add a little spunk to any night out on the town!

The Hottest Looks for This Season Booties Booties Booties Rockin’ Everywhere! By: Sara Thomas

T

his Fall 2014, boots are BIG. As Tallahassee temperatures cool down, students are heating up the fashion scene with boots of all styles: knee-high to ankle length, booties to combat. For game day, brown leather riding boots have been right on trend. Pair them with a garnet dress for added texture and warm color. Or pull on this popular style with patterned boot socks and dark jeans when hitting the town. Steve Madden is a favorite brand amongst students on campus. His ankle boots look great when worn with denim shorts for a more casual feel. Jeffrey Campbell’s Lita Bootie features a very distinctive look with long shoelaces, platform sole and thick 3-inch heel. Pairing these with a pleated leather skirt and crop top strikes a casual yet flirty look. Combat boots give a grungy or laidback feel. Worn with a soft sundress or classic jeans and flannel, these boots feature accent buckles and zippers to create dimension. From Topshop to Tory Burch, the combat boot varies in price range. “Shooties” (aka a shoe and bootie combination), provide a more professional look. Styled with a simple dress or jumpsuit, the shootie stands out. The heel is usually thin and slick, as it is a classy choice for evening. Whether you rock the knee-high boot on game day or the skinny-heeled shootie on a cool night, you have many options to walk in style this fall.

Fashionable Improvements Revamping the fashion world one piece of technology at a time! By: Brooke Larson

Fashion trends have always been accessible, but catch-

ing on has not always been so easy. As time goes on and more technology is developed, the faster trends are able to spread worldwide. A major feature in the social media world is a technique called hash tagging, making it easier for people to see new trends they are interested in and also share their own trends with others as well. With all the unique features the Internet and social media sites have to offer, the fashion world is able to reach more people then it ever has. Overall, technology has made major improvements to the fashion world and will continue to do so.

Winter White’s Done Right By: Kelsey O’Brian

W

e’ve all been told that after Labor Day you are supposed to put away your white articles of clothing. Well, I’m here to tell you to break out those winter whites! The reason most of us don’t wear white during the winter months is because we aren’t really sure how to incorporate it into our wardrobes. Having Florida’s version of a “white” Christmas really can be done this season. One of the first things to consider is if you want the item to be pure white or off white. If you’re a little nervous about stepping out in white, I would suggest starting with an off white piece because it is more subtle and that color has a warmer tone to it than pure white.

I would suggest starting out your winter white collection with a white fur vest. This is a great piece to invest in because it’s an item that won’t take over your entire outfit and is meant to be somewhat of an accent piece to your appearance. Another item that is a great winter white piece are those oversized white sweaters, paired with a colored scarf and a dark pant. Those chunky knits are something you can buy almost anywhere in all different price ranges. One of the last pieces that is a little bit more fashion forward would be a white trench coat. Although always been a winter staple, we have seen the trench coat more in white on the runways for this holiday season.

How to include white in your winter wardrobe while still playing by the rules

Revamping Your Basics for Fall: Classic and Trendy By: Erin Kahle There are those basic pieces of clothing reached for season after season, and they can be tied into just about each and every look. As it turns out, these staple items are the building blocks to a perfectly fashion forward yet comfortable wardrobe that is appropriate for this fall season. Some of these basic pieces that a fashionista should keep an eye out for this fall are a plain white button down, knit sweaters, a pea coat, a leather jacket, mini skirts, classic denim, knee high boots, sensible ballet flats, ankle booties, and anything simple and black for that matter. The key to wearing these trends without going overboard is to pair one trendy item with some classic pieces. The trends seen for Fall 2014 on the runways were some of the best and most versatile, including neutral colors and lots of mixed textures. Lastly, the trend to look forward to the most: cozy everything! Playing with textures is one of the easiest ways to combine the staple pieces that are already loved with the new major trends. Pairing layered knits with a leather jacket, cotton leggings and velvet booties in a fall color is the perfect example of looking trendy without really trying too hard. A trend for the season that many will find comforting is simplicity: “stand out by fitting in. Keep colors and lines simple, work with textures and neutrals, and most importantly let your personality be what defines you, not the clothes.

Dos and Don’ts of Themed Parties E

By: Mia Lepp

ver since seeing Mean Girls back in ‘04 my worst fear has always been showing up as the Cady Heron, dressed as a zombie ex-wife, to Aaron Samuel’s Halloween party. Granted it was a dumb fear, but one that existed; however, after over dressing to a themed party or two last year I realized my mistake and wanted to share my words of wisdom with you all. Because unlike a normal town, we all live in Tallahassee, and themed parties aren’t just restricted to October.

Rock of Ages Party

Do: wear leather! Whether it’s leather leggings, your favorite leather shorts, or that new leather jacket. Don’t: Over kill the leather with doubling up a leather jacket with leather leggings, it’ll end up looking very vampire/ Adams familesque. Do: Wear a “Mom” tattoo or a sleeve of temporary tattoos! Don’t: rock a mullet…it never looked good on Billy Ray Cyrus and chances are it won’t add much to your outfit.

Loggers and Joggers

Do: wear your Juicy track suit that you haven’t worn since 9th grade or your best Daisy Duke impersonation with flannel, jean shorts, cow boy boots, and pigtails. Don’t: show up in the norts and oversized shirt you wore to class…get creative and go 80s workout with a neon leotard, neon tights, thigh highs, and a hair scrunchy if you have to.

Animal Themed Party

Do: paint zebra strips on your arm if you’re rocking just a plain black dress! Don’t: mix prints…Sadly Ligers aren’t real.

Pirates of the Caribbean Do: accessories! The more eye patches, plastic swords, bandanas, and treasure maps you have the better your outfit will be and the more friends you’ll make at the party! However, don’t get attached to the accessories because there’s almost a 90% chance you’ll end up losing the treasure map. Don’t: Take the party too literally. Talking like a pirate all night might dim down the fun of the party.

Police/ Firefighter Party Do: think outside of the box! A Halloween costume is great, but a more creative way of thinking will work out better. Don’t: be afraid to dress as a “fire” in a red dress and red heels or as a convict, who just got arrested for being fabulous, in a skater skirt, tube top, and beany. *Creativity is key with those options*

Island Party Do: wear bright colors and your favorite vacation shorts or sundress paired with a lei for a headband. Don’t: wear a coconut bar…like the boa it just calls for a disaster.

Old South vs. South Beach

Do: get funny and wear one of those south beach cover up’s that has a bathing suit already printed on it! It’ll be one of the most comfortable options all night.

53

Don’t: take it to the extreme and remember to always have fun!

Don’t- All stylist’s own

Do- Gianni Bini top, $69, Dillards; Skirt shoes belt and necklace, stylist’s own

Madri Gras Party Do:

wear a cute purple dress or a black dress with a green and white cardigan and some beads and cute little booties for shoes.

Don’t:

wear leggings and a boa top… as tempting and fun as it might sound, it’ll be itchy and try to nip slip you while you’re talking to that cute boy from your statistics class.

America Parties: Do: wear red, white, and blue the more the merrier! If you have shoes with the American flag on them wear them with your favorite red dress and blue bandana! Don’t: there really isn’t one, because you can never have too much patriotism.

Theres an app for that!

Exercise Edition Written by: Laura Durkalec It has been a great workout if it is difficult to walk back to the car after the gym. Everyone has a love/hate relationship with that “post workout euphoria.” Keeping track of what exercises to do, the length, and distance of a workout just got easier. Listed below are 3 different apps for smartphones that not only enhance the workout experience but also heighten that satisfying body-burning feeling afterwards.

Runtastic:

This app displays the duration of your workout, distance, calories burned, and average pace. In addition to that, it tracks the route of the workout through the Wi-Fi signal given off of the smartphone. 7MinuteWorkout: With this app, you can choose which part of the body to focus on. There is full body, upper body, core, or lower body. Once chosen, the screen will change every 30 seconds with a new exercise to do and a 10 second rest in-between. Not keeping up with the weekly exercises will result in the loss of energy or “hearts”. The more “hearts” gained, the more achievements are unlocked.

Fitocracy:

Workouts are already put together in this app. Different options such as lifting, weight loss, or cardio bring up separate workouts. Each one is fit with instructions and a rep counter. In addition, you can join groups via this app and chat about workout tips and routines.

You Are What You Eat By Erica Gordon

Y

ou do not have to become a product junkie to achieve that perfect glow or silky hair. All it takes is a trip to your local grocery store to achieve natural results. The U.S. Department of Agriculture ranked blueberries number one in antioxidant activity, which can reduce premature aging. Another way to fight the strong Tallahassee sun from damaging your skin is to eat wild salmon, a fish high in omega-3 fatty acids. This super food keeps your skin moisturized as well as protects your skin from sun exposure due to a mineral called selenium. Salmon isn’t the only “super-seafood” that aids in maintaining healthy skin. Oysters are a great source of zinc, which improves skin cell renewal and repair. Swap your lettuce for spinach to gain rich nutrients such as lutein, which keeps your eyes healthy. Spinach has many other benefits in addition to eye health such as a high content of vitamins B, C and E, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and fatty acids. Not every super food has to be a fruit, vegetable or seafood. Dark chocolate helps skin stay hydrated and protects it from sun damage. The best chocolate for you is at least sixty percent cacao. So why spend money on products that claim to enhance your natural beauty when you can eat your way to a more radiant you?

Keep Calm and Keep Summer Vibes! By: Ana Gonzalez Summer is the time to sit back, relax, binge on Netflix, and sip on some margaritas. Yet when the realization that school is starting up again hits you, all of these great memories seem like a blur (and not just the ones that involve the occasional marg). Soon after the fall semester starts you find yourself caught in a whirlwind of harassing the financial aid office, bargaining for those essential books, or obsessively checking to see if the class you really need is available during drop/add week. View every day like it’s summer by treating yourself with mini celebrations. The stress of school and classes can easily get you in a rut, so finding a time to breathe and relax is a necessity. Don’t let the stress of school keep you from making time to create those same summer carefree moments amidst of the craziness of a school semester. When you find yourself worn out, take the time to watch that one Netflix episode you’ve been meaning to watch or try a yoga class with a friend. When midterms are approaching and those Starbucks espresso shots are just not cutting it, walk out to go to Landis and feel the sun on your face (instead of the blinding lights in Stroz). Summer shouldn’t just represent a season, but instead a mentality, a moment, or even that well-deserved margarita at the end of finals week.

Summer Isn’t Just a Season

Highlight Your Life Writen by: Lauren Wynne Organization is a key to success in college, and while everyone has their own way of managing classes, utilizing a planner that is functional and stylish is my way of maintaining those A’s! Planners not only serve as an organization tool, but in true Clutch fashion, we love the new styles too! Kate Spade, Erin Condren and Lily Pulitzer are popular planners this season because they offer a variety of prints and textures. Since we recommend using your planner every day, add a little flare to personalize your new favorite accessory by embossing your initials or adding a monogram. Calendar section vs. Weekly section: Start every semester off right by going through syllabi for every class and highlight all assignments and tests and then transfer those dates into the calendar section of your planner! Then I move on to any clubs or organizations that I am involved in and add their important dates into my calendar as well. Make sure when writing in the calendar section of the planner to only jot down key dates. If you are someone who needs to write a lot, never fear for there is plenty of room to expand in the weekly section of your overview section of your planner. Color-coding by classes and events not only looks aesthetically better, but also is an important tool to make sure you are always on top of your game.

Holy Kale! DIY: Guide to making the perfect (and delicious) Kale Smoothie By: Naomi Elizee Kale is the veggie of our generation—and for good reason: The versatile green is an awesome source of vitamins A, C, and K. Oh, and it’s super low in calories, too. Kale is commonly used for smoothies and here is one recipe that will blow any other recipe out of the water! I mean, who can resist a green smoothie that isn’t green at all? Peacock Kale Smoothie: Ingredients -2 cups orange juice -1 handful kale (peacock, about 2-3 cups chopped) -1 bananas (large, frozen is best) -1 cup grapes (frozen) -2 tbs chia seed

Rinse the kale and shake off the excess water. Pull the leaves away from the core and then remove the longest tips of the stem. Roughly chop the kale into 3-4” pieces. Layer the orange juice, kale, banana and grapes into the blender and puree until smooth. Add chia seeds if desired and pulse to combine. And, Voila! Enjoy!

Local Hotspots for the Local Guy By: Bynne Markham

Nightlife for Men Football season is here, and

there is much to celebrate. Tallahassee has great local options for places to celebrate big wins or just a night out on the town with the guys. Starting off, the Brass Tap is one of Tallahassee’s newest locations. There are many TVs, large drink selections, and a modern yet casual hangout atmosphere. In the mood for an Irish a pub? Finnegan’s Wake is a popular Irish pub located in the midtown area, which is home to other great places such as Midtown Filling Station. It has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. If you are in the mood for a beer with a great burger, Madison Social is a popular hangout in the ever-evolving College Town area with a unique, appetizing menu that goes perfect with their long list of drinks. Sit outside with any item off their food and drink menu and enjoy the view of the stadium in the background.

Feeling a little edgy? Proof Brewing Company, a local Tallahassee company, has a dark atmosphere with a classy twist. Located right on Tennessee Street, Proof takes pride in their name and their great service shines through. If you prefer to be more nostalgic go to Bullwinkle’s Saloon. It is one of Tallahassee’s most iconic places to celebrate a football win or to just get your groove on. No matter where you choose to unwind at night, Tallahassee’s local businesses ensure that you will always have a great time.

The Shoe Makes the Man: Which shoes every guy should own By: Bynne Markham The good thing about being a guy is that you don’t need thousands of shoes to make a fashion statement; you only need a few good ones to look sharp. The trick is to make sure the shoe completes the outfit. Wearing a pair of nice shoes with any outfit, not just a suit, shows that you pay attention to detail, which is a very attractive quality to have in your personal and professional life. Now, the question is what to wear this season. Some favorites for the fall are the ankle boot and the loafer. Both of these shoes can easily be taken from casual to formal. One trending hybrid shoe this fall is the brogue boot. It takes the details from a brogue shoe such as wingtips and side perforations and applies them to a combat boot. This can be worn with a nice pair of rolled up jeans or khakis. Again, just another way to take the same styled shoe and wear it multiple ways. If you choose to leave the wingtips for the day, a pair of lace-less loafers is a great way to compromise formality and comfort. The loafer transcends all seasons and is highly functional. The winter loafer especially will be seen with a thicker treaded sole as well as the classic tassel element for added on-trend detail. This season, make sure to “suit up” with the right shoes.

Divas and Devils: A Local Find By: Claire LaRocca

Do you ever find yourself shop-

ping around the Tallahassee area and wonder where all the cute boutiques are? Well, I know Tallahassee isn’t Miami or Orlando, but it does have some hidden treasures, all you have to do is look a little harder. Hidden in this city are some amazing local boutiques, one of favorites being Divas and Devils House of Style. Their clothing is a mix between vintage and new, and you can always find something to wear that is unique and different.

Not to mention, their staff is always friendly and very excited to help pick out outfits that cater to your personality and style. I myself have found a multitude of unique items including an amazing pair of boho palazzo pants, crochet crop tops, and wide rimmed hats; the perfect accessory for fall. Located on the corner of 6th Ave and Monroe St., Divas and Devils House of Style is definitely the store to check out.
