LEE!

In an industry increasingly more focused on packing clubs rather than providing good vibes, Lee Burridge has kept his music soulful and purely satisfying, for the audiophile searching for house music with a purpose. Lee’s All Day I Dream events maintain the beautiful and transcendental qualities that dreamy, melodic house music can provide, while shared in intimate environments with close friends and likeminded souls. Read on to see what Lee thinks about the important things in life (like the sun and the moon, of course!) and don’t miss his set at the Woogie stage!

Life changing DJ set: Lee Burridge’s underground party at this place called The Compound in San Francisco. It was such a great vibe that it made me want to become a part of it, and rather than just be a consumer, become a FOR MORE creator as well. INFORMATION, The crowd and the DJ: I think the relationship between the DJ and the dance floor is the core of the art form. It’s reading and feeling a room, and playing music to respond to what the crowd is doing. It’s hard for me if the DJ booth is removed from the dance floor, because I just the energy in my face. I like it when people are in the booth and having fun with me.

THE BREAKDOWN

JUICING REVEALED MORE HEALTH TIPS AT WWW.ELECTRIFYMAG.COM

We’ve all heard the various benefits of switching to a liquid diet, but with so much new information constantly flooding the market, its hard to know what’s actually good for us, and what’s just good for trending on Twitter. Electrify spoke with Jake Mabanta, founder of Brooklyn-based juicing company Love Grace, to really “digest” what all the hype is actually about.

Juicing vs. Smoothies? Love Grace cold-presses fruits and vegetables, yielding up to 5x the nutrients of the average juicer, separating every drop of juice from the pulp and fiber. Smoothies are blended fruits, veggies, and whatever else you want. We use whole superfoods, like chia seeds, hemp seeds, and goji berries, to add unique flavors and health properties to our smoothies. What is a Juice Fast? A juice fast is a diet of just juices for an extended period of time. It gives the body the chance to safely detox, heal, and revitalize. Being that the body is getting tons of nutrients (often missing from a normal diet) most people have no hunger cravings.

Benefits of Juicing in the summer? Juice is great for cleansing, weight loss, and an instant nutrient boost. I find the body loves light, refreshing, slightly sweet foods in the summer. When we drink juice in the summer we get those detoxing properties while drenching the cells in nutrients. I just like having the energy to go outside and do what I love. How often? Cleanse time will vary from person to person. Our customers often cleanse from 3-5 days to start about once-a-season to once-a-month depending on their goals. Most people report weight loss, mental clarity, and abundant energy. Visit lovegracefoods.com for more information

TALENT LOCAL LOCAL TALENT Here at Electrify, we like to focus on industry innovators, and this month’s talent comes from the West Coast: an LA based designer, tarot reader, and devotee to the spirit, who sparked our interest with her high-quality, handmade pieces that beautifully reflect the love put into creating them. Her designs really speak for themselves, but here’s a few facts we learned about the equally beautiful and interesting designer, in her own words. READ ON AT WWW.ELECTRIFYMAG.COM

LYNN’S CORNER

CRYSTAL BASICS Lynn Pax, Electrify’s resident mystic and crystal bible, has always been deeply interested in spirituality. She’s a teacher of the Divine Feminine, an accredited priestess, and has worked with stones for over 30 years. This month, Lynn provided us with a basic “How-To” guide of the stones and their everyday use.

8 STONES FOR EVERYDAY USE Fluorite

Quartz

This stone is becoming really popular now people are having great difficulties with ordinary things in life, such as finances. Fluorite is called the genius stone, because it helps us come up with ingenious solutions to problems.

This stone will support any other stone and any intention you put into it. It’s probably the most programmable stone. Quartz is used in electronics because it’s so good at channeling energy.

Lapis

Rose Quartz

Called the “Warrior Stone”, it connects us to our centers, so we are able to be true to ourselves in the moment.

This stone is really good when your issue is love. Not only to attract love, but also to open oneself up to love, as well as healing past family problems.

Aventurine

Amethyst

It’s a great stone for students, artists, gamblers, and lovers, because it gives you luck in games of chance and love.

I like to keep an amethyst between my computer and I, because it protects from radiation.

Tourmaline

Rhodochrosite

One of the most protective stones. Also very grounding

I like this stone for love… but when you don’t need the attachment of a relationship.

DON’T FORGET

TO PROGRAM YOUR STONE

You begin by envisioning your intention with as much detail as possible. You hear yourself telling a friend about your end result, and you allow yourself to really be in that intention, and when you have internalized that feeling, you blow sage into the stone. And that’s a programmed stone! AMETHYST
