Hope House services form a safety net of prevention, education and support for thousands of people traumatized by domestic violence every year. Residential services are provided through two secure locations in Independence and Lee’s Summit, Missouri and comprehensive outreach services are provided to those not needing secure shelter. 122 women and children can be housed between the two locations. hope house’s mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower women and children. hope house will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse.

philosophy hope house provides shelter and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence in the Kansas City metro area. Weaving together safety, support and hope helps give survivors the ability to start a new life, free from abuse.

hope house’s hotline and programs help thousands of survivors of domestic violence each year. In June, 2014 alone we logged the following numbers: number of women in shelter: 133 number of children in shelter: 90 number of hotline calls: 500 number of people turned away due to capacity: 264
Even with 100% funding and staffing, the need would still be greater than the resources available. For those we are able to help every day, we depend on the Kansas City community giving back to their neighbors in need through monetary donations and volunteer hours.

incorrect usage
The logo cannot have a drop shadow. The plus cannot be in any other color except the brand colors and never in gray or white with shown within the H. The logo cannot be shown on a solid black background.
The logo cannot have an outline. The logo must be shown at 1/2 in or above in scale. The logo cannot be shown on a background that is the same color as the plus.
