Architects:Tham & Videg책rd Arkitekter Location: Harads, Sweden I want to avoid the mistake of making a building on an empty site that looks like it was merely dropped there. I want to find a way to make the facility become a part of the landscape, much like this building, and almost disappear.

Architects: Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects Location: Central Idaho, USA Kundig does an excellent job of making buildings that become an extension of the landscape (specifically the desert landscape). When inside outpost there is a blurring of what is interior/extrerior and I would like to do the same for the research facility.

The focus of the design is the central chameber that consists of a spiral staircase that leads down to a pod suspended at the ceiling of the mine. The project allows for a unique experience of the mine unlike any other
