Set in pre-First World War Germany, Patrice Leconte’s venture into Englishlanguage filmmaking chronicles the simmering love triangle between an ailing factory owner (Alan Rickman), his young bride (Rebecca Hall) and his protégé (Richard Madden). Stefan Zweig’s novel Journey into the Past, provides the inspiration for the film.

When Kai dies, his lover Richard reaches out to Junn, Kai’s Chinese-Cambodian mother. Unaware of her son’s sexuality, and unable to speak English, she slowly comes to acknowledge, understand and share Richard’s grief, in this subtly, minimally drawn debut from Hong Khaou. Khaou’s film beautifully explores the limits of language to express emotion, and the ways that loss can bring the walls down.

Starring: Àlex Brendemühl, Diego Peretti

Ari Forman follows his groundbreaking animated documentary Waltz with Bashir with an equally bold and brilliant movie. Miramount studio offers Robin Wright a deal that will guarantee her riches for life and fame well beyond that. They want to scan her, sample her, and take full rights to the virtual Robin Wright, the first true movie immortal. Only one condition: she must never act again. A visionary film that takes its place alongside Brazil, Blade Runner and Solaris, The Congress is both savagely funny and surprisingly moving.

Be thrilled and entertained by this hit animation about Amadeo (voiced by Rupert Grint), the table football champ. When football star, Flash, announces plans to demolish the old bar to build the world’s biggest soccer stadium, Amadeo’s favourite football players come to life to help him save the town. Recommended Age 7+. [In English].

When Colin meets the woman of his dreams, Chloé, they take a ride in a glass-domed cloud floating over Paris and for their wedding day he buys her a perspex limousine. But their idyllic marriage comes crashing down when Chloé falls sick with a water lily growing in her lung. Mood Indigo is a true return to form for Michel Gondry; an exuberant celebration of his trademark craft, ingenuity and distinct visual style. Original and spectacular - this is a film that needs to be seen on a big, big screen! THU 14, FROM 6PM FRENCH FOOD NIGHT IN OUR CAFEBAR To complement Mood Indigo.

In this taut political thriller, radical environmentalist Josh and society dropout Dena drive halfway across Oregon and meet with ex-marine Harmon to execute their meticulously planned act of eco-terrorism. Following their clandestine operation, they separate and resume their regular lives, but the media frenzy that follows reveals the unintended consequences of their actions. So, the three friends set off to crack the code and soon discover an alien from another world who needs their help.
