Inspired by five stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style, Winnie the Pooh sees the return of the honey-loving bear and his friends Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet and Owl. Every teddy gets a free goodie bag - so bring yours along and he might share his sweeties with you!

Starring: Gerard Depardieu, Isabelle Adjani,

The year is 1845, the earliest days of the Oregon Trail, and a wagon team of three families has hired the mountain man Stephen Meek to guide them over the Cascade Mountains. Meek leads the group on an unmarked path across the high plain desert, only to become lost. Over the coming days, the emigrants must face hunger, thirst and their own lack of faith in each other’s instincts for survival. When a Native American crosses their path, the emigrants are torn between their trust in a guide who has proven himself unreliable and a man who has always been seen as the natural enemy.

Starring: Catherine Deneuve, Gerard Depardieu

Samantha Morton

Starring: Tony Kgoroge, Naomie Harris

As the “potiche” (slang for “trophy wife”) of a tyrannically petty umbrella factory owner, the luminous Catherine Deneuve re-teams with François Ozon for a return to the campy comedy of their hit 8 Women. When Monsieur Pujol’s workers go on strike and he suffers a heart attack from the stress, Madame Pujol surprises everyone by assuming command and proves to be a more popular and effective leader than her husband ever was. But when Monsieur Pujol returns to health and wants a return to the prior order of things, he meets with an unexpected resistance, while an epic battle of the sexes and classes brews. Miami International Film Festival

An injured U.S. soldier, Sgt. Will Montgomery, is paired up with a tightly wound, by-the-book vet to notify families of fallen soldiers - a job that gets thorny when Montgomery breaks the rules and starts a relationship with a woman he’s recently notified. As Will’s emotional detachment begins to dissolve the film reveals itself as a surprising, humorous, moving and very human portrait of grief, friendship and survival.

THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES OF ADELE BLANC-SEC (12A) LES ADVENTURES EXTRAORDINAIRE D’ADELE BLANC-SEC

Countdown to Zero traces the history of the atomic bomb from its origins to the present state of global affairs. Nine nations possess nuclear capability, with others racing to join them. The fate of the world is held in a delicate balance that could be shattered by an act of terrorism, failed diplomacy, or a simple accident. Written and directed by acclaimed documentarian Lucy Walker the film makes a compelling case for worldwide nuclear disarmament.

LE QUATTRO VOLTE (U) THE FOUR TIMES With English Subtitles Dir: Michelangelo Frammartino Italy 2010 88m Starring: Giuseppe Fuda, Bruno Timpano, Nazareno Timpano

Set in a remote village in the Serre mountains of Calabria, this is a poetic vision of the revolving cycles of life and nature and the unbroken traditions of a timeless place. Its story has no one hero or focus, but instead passes the baton from an elderly shepherd, to a baby goat to a tree. It makes for a compelling and cinematic narrative. Sight and Sound

SENNA (12A) Dir: Asif Kapadia United Kingdom 2010 105m

A poll of Formula One drivers recently rated him as the greatest of all time. He was the Brazilian maestro Ayrton Senna, the last F1 driver to die behind the wheel. Spanning his years as a Formula One driver from 1984 until his tragic death a decade later, Senna explores the life and career of a man who could make a car perform like no other. The film gives the closest insight you’ll ever get into a life lived amid the roar of engines and the unquenchable pursuit of speed. Adelaide Film Festival TUE 7, FROM 6PM BRAZILIAN FOOD NIGHT in our cafebar to complement Senna.

Yolande Moreau

The story of a man, a mission and a motorbike. Serge is an abattoir worker who retires only to find that he doesn’t have a pension and needs to track down paperwork from his former employers. Hitting the road on his Mammuth bike, he has a series of variously humiliating and inspiring encounters - including a reunion with a long lost cousin, the cue for one of the most outrageous sight gags in recent cinema. Depardieu clearly hit it off a treat with the directors, whose anarchic cheek and up-yours radicalism are, despite a new-found lyricism, here in full force. Belfast Film Festival

Cambridge Film Festival If you’re bringing children please be aware that the film contains brief moderate nudity.

Based on the true story of Maruge, an 84-year-old villager who takes the Kenyan government’s declaration of “free education for all” at face value and enrolls in his town’s small children’s school. Maruge’s decision causes turmoil among teachers, students, their parents and even the government, but he remains steadfast in his commitment to get an education. A tense documentary about a group of young Danish soldiers on their first mission in Afghanistan's Helmand Province. After winning the Grand Prix at last year's Cannes Film Festival, Armadillo caused political controversy in Denmark because of its depiction of a shoot-out with a guerrilla Afghan group. A unique perspective on the experience of war.

AFTER THE APOCALYPSE

A powerful, quietly devastating tale of two Arab-Canadian twins’ quest to unearth the secrets of their recently deceased mother’s life. Simon and Jeanne are stunned to learn that the father they had understood to be dead is still alive, and that they have a brother they never knew existed. They are instructed to seek out both, but when they travel to the Middle East, no one wants to help...at first. This masterful, operatic opus (set to the epic sounds of Radiohead), based on the acclaimed play by Wajdi Mouawad, makes sparse use of language and gripping use of a stunning series of mesmerizing images.
