Jim Jarmusch (dis)assembles the greatest cast ever for this zombie comedy. In the small, peaceful town of Centerville, life takes a turn for the strange when the dead begin to rise from their graves. As the flesh-hungry zombies terrorise the living, it’s up to three bespectacled police officers and a Scottish morgue expert to restore order and defeat the undead.
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne
Starring: Anna Paquin, Holliday Grainger
Agnès Varda was a photographer, a writer, a storyteller, an artist and, of course, a filmmaker. She was also a pioneer, a feminist, a humanist, a gleaner and an activist. For her final film, she takes to the stage to tell us about her career – providing another personal insight into her oeuvre, through clips, photos and discussions. Varda by Agnès is a delightful, if bittersweet, swansong from a truly extraordinary artist.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Tickets: £3.90

Dani and Christian are on the verge of splitting up when a family tragedy strikes. Still grieving, Dani decides to join Christian and his friends on a unique trip to a midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village. But soon, the dream holiday takes a sinister turn when the insular villagers invite their guests to partake in increasingly unnerving and disturbing festivities. From the visionary mind of Ari Aster (Hereditary) comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.
Director Jon Favreau rounds up an all-star cast for this thrilling re-interpretation of The Lion King, 25 years after the release of the original Disney classic. Following young Simba’s journey after he flees his kingdom following the murder of his father, this family classic is roaring onto the screens this summer to enchant the whole family.
Take the red pill and follow us down the rabbit hole, as we celebrate 20 years of floor-length leather coats, bullet time effects, bending spoons, flip phones, and knowing kung fu. Two decades after changing sci-fi and action movies forever, The Matrix is back on the big screen and in glorious 4K. “The deliciously inventive Wachowskis have delivered the syntax for a new kind of movie: technically mind-blowing, style merged perfectly with content and just so damn cool.” Empire Magazine
“Jarmusch bites down hard on capitalism, consumerism and race relations in a film that’s akin to Joe Dante’s Matinee in its satire of wilfully destructive human behaviour.” The List

When mill worker Lydia is abandoned by her philandering husband, she struggles to pay the rent and feed herself and son Charlie. Local doctor Jean is one of the few to help and a friendship develops that blossoms into a romance that will scandalise the town. Director Annabel Jankel has crafted a sensitive adaptation of the Fiona Shaw novel that captures oppressive small-town life and the way love has the power to challenge narrow minds and deep-rooted prejudices. In 1979 Paris, Anne is a ruthless gay porn producer struggling to come to terms with her break-up from girlfriend, Lois. In an attempt to win her back, Anne begins production on her most ambitious film yet, but a serial killer is on the loose and his victims are none other than her actors. Gorgeously shot and with a haunting score from Anthony Gonzalez, Knife+Heart is a neon-drenched erotic thriller lushly draped in giallo references. “A wonderful throwback to both giallo cinema and American 1970s crime thrillers, Knife+Heart puts its queerness front and centre, infused with a high style that transports and reminds us of the beauty of print film.” ScreenAnarchy

This inventive documentary revisits the rich bounty of 16-mm-shot footage of the tennis star John McEnroe, as he competes in the French Open at Paris’s Roland Garros Stadium in 1984. Close-ups and slow motion sequences of McEnroe competing, as well as instances of his notorious temper tantrums, highlight a “man who played on the edge of his senses”.
An innovative film project that seeks to increase the visibility of, and pride in, the story of the New Town movement, and the unique social history and heritage of these pioneering towns. The film uses rare archive footage to explore the shared experiences of the residents of Stevenage, Crawley, Hemel Hempstead and Harlow.
The LGBTQ+ movement in the UK has fought bruising battles for equality. Are You Proud? brings together rare archive footage and interviews from across a spectrum of campaigners to celebrate the progress that has been achieved.

When a bloodthirsty great white shark begins to terrorise the small community of Amity Island, it’s up to Sheriff Brody, local fisherman Quint, and oceanographer Hooper to hunt it down and save the day … but it’s not long before they realise they’re going to need a bigger boat. Featuring an unforgettable score and fantastic performances from its cast, Jaws set up a new standard for thrillers and summer movies. “Jaws remains one of the most terrifying movies ever made.” TIFF
