“ Goodman helped me develop many of the skills that have helped me succeed in my role today. My courses gave me a solid understanding of finance fundamentals, co-op gave me practical work experience and extracurriculars helped me build problem solving and leadership skills.
“ Getting involved at Goodman has given me the chance to build important skills. There are so many amazing lessons you learn in the classroom, but when you get involved you can actually apply that knowledge into real-world situations.
“ Co-op, especially at Brock, is a great way to get into the business world. The staff help you with your resume, talk to you about the application process and prepare you for the interviews.
Goodman allowed me to belong to something greater than myself. My greatest memories are travelling across Canada and the United States to participate in case competitions and conferences with my peers.”

MEET SHANIA.
Each business school can offer great courses, but Goodman offers great courses and the experience you need for your future career. Goodman gives you the chance to build a network and gain soft skills that will help you enhance your education. Goodman isn’t just a learning space, it’s a place to gain experience.”
I’m starting my second term with EY on the external audit team and I’ve been able to balance my love for basketball with my pursuit of accounting. Prior to starting my co-op terms, I played on the Brock Women’s Varsity Basketball team and since starting co-op, I was able to join a team at EY which played in a league and charity tournaments.”
EXPERIENCE. GOODMAN. Get ready for Goodman Goodman offers a mentoring program open to all our incoming first year students. You will get to experience a round table discussion focusing on the transition into university, successes and challenges along with a time management workshop lead by a Goodman professor. You’ll also get to know some of your fellow classmates and become more familiar with the Brock campus.
Presentation Etiquette Workshop At Goodman we want to teach our students how to take their presentation skills to the next level while learning proper presentation etiquette. Goodman offers a session that focuses on team dynamics, presentation flow, style, roles and responsibilities and confidence. Goodman wants to help prepare you for your future endeavors.
Case Interview Skills Session Goodman offers a session that will help you better understand what employers are looking for when you are presented with a case-based interview. You will learn how to best prepare, areas of focus during an interview and how to stand out. You will be given the tools to successfully navigate this type of interview structure.
Competitor Development Day Business competitions are a great way to get involved and help you apply the knowledge you learn in the classroom and simulate real life scenarios. Goodman’s case competition training session will teach you how to approach cases and present your ideas effectively. This will help when presenting in class, representing Goodman at a case competition or interviewing for a job or co-op position.

APPLYING TO BROCK Step 1: Select a program After exploring your options at Brock, select the program area you wish to pursue. Applying to multiple Brock programs? Please note: you can expect to receive and hold an offer of admission to only one Brock program at a time. When more than one Brock program is indicated on the application, the highest choice listed for Brock will be considered first. If you are not eligible for your first choice, we will consider your subsequent choices (in the order of preference you have indicated). If you apply to only one Brock program and do not qualify, in most cases consideration will be given for an alternate and related program. If you apply for but are not admitted to a co-op program, you will be considered automatically for the regular non-co-op program (if you have not included a second choice on the application).
Step 2: Review admission criteria Admission information will vary depending on what type of applicant you are. Ontario secondary school applicants should refer to the admission chart found on pages 92 to 97 for specific criteria required for each program. Your six highest 4U or 4M grades, including prerequisite subjects, will be included in the calculation of your final admission average. All other applicants should use this information as a guideline to determine the prerequisite courses for each program. Equivalent courses may be considered. Refer to the following pages in this book for additional information related to your specific applicant type. Visit brocku.ca/admissions/requirements for more information.
Step 3: Choose your application Most students applying to Brock will apply via the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) at ouac.on.ca
