GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM Jeff Stewart • Owner Jeff was raised in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, and graduated from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. Following several years of incredible success working with buyers and sellers, and being named a top producer at Keller Williams, Jeff and his wife Leah founded Broker Asheville. Jeff’s love of his hometown, specifically the natural beauty of Western North Carolina, translates into Broker Asheville’s community mindedness, where he works to build a team that empowers clients to make savvy decisions with confidence.

Leah Graham Stewart • Owner & Marketing Manager Originally from Camden, South Carolina, Leah met Jeff during a summer in Maine where Leah had landed for an interim college summer job; the rest is history! A University of Georgia graduate, Leah has a Bachelors in Environmental Design and a Masters in Urban Planning. With a background as a city planner in Athens, GA and an enterprising attitude, Leah plays a pivotal role in Broker Asheville. Leah is “the boss” and we are proud to have her working on our graphic design. When she’s not in the office, you can find Leah taking long walks with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Okra, or visiting the local Asheville hot spots with their two sons, Jackson and Wyatt.

Amber Cloutier • Closing & Operations Manager Amber grew up in Greensboro, NC and is proud to be a native of North Carolina. After attending Appalachian State University, she moved to Raleigh and called the Triangle home for 12 years. Her love for the mountains brought her to Asheville, NC. Prior to joining Broker Asheville, Amber worked for North Carolina Real Estate Commission and Ashley Wilson Realty Group. When Amber is not exploring her new home with her boyfriend, Buddy and her Cocker Spaniel, Boone, she enjoys traveling the world.

GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM Jeremy Laster • Buyer Specialist Jeremy is a Western North Carolina native and proud to call Asheville home. As a Buyer’s Specialist with Broker Asheville, Jeremy combines his knowledge and passion for our LOCAL community with a fun, customer focused, and consultative approach. Jeremy is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and his professional resume includes active duty military experience as an Air Force Officer and sales executive roles for market leading medical device and information technology companies. Jeremy has deep roots in our community and has a passion for giving back. During the football season, you can find Jeremy volunteering his time as an assistant football coach for North Buncombe High School. Jeremy is married to his high school sweetheart, Karen, and together they have a beautiful daughter, Ella. You may see Jeremy and his family around town enjoying outdoor activities, live music, and great restaurants.

Bret Frk • Buyer Specialist Bret has been in the real estate business in multiple capacities for over 17 years. After graduating with an Urban Design and Planning degree from the University of Cincinnati, he pursued a career with renowned design and architecture firms in the Western US. After moving to Asheville in 2002 to become one of the founding members of a new landscape architecture and land planning branch office of Design Workshop, he focused his efforts on numerous new development and tourism/resort projects in the region and internationally. In 2007, he pursued a more land conservation and land management consulting focus with the Durham-based Unique Places. He assisted with the acquisition, management and restoration of the largest conservation tracts in the State - land holdings that totaled over 45,000 acres. The next logical step for Bret was to put his past knowledge and experience to work in the real estate brokerage business. Knowing some of the Broker Asheville Team from other business endeavors, he was welcomed to be part of the team in mid-2015. Bret has lived in and still owns investment properties within the River Arts and West Asheville neighborhoods. He currently lives in Haw Creek with his wife Allison, son, Wade and daughter, Avery.

GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM Hannah Heedy • Listing Manager Hannah grew up in the Asheville area, and proudly calls herself a local. While she’s traveled and lived elsewhere, she feels that Asheville is the perfect mix of culture and nature, which suits her active lifestyle. Hannah graduated from UNCA with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and worked in healthcare for several years. She then decided to put her willingness to help and superb organizational skills to a new use and aides Broker Asheville in managing its many listings. As a licensed team member, Hannah ensures that each client gets exactly what they need by making the listing process an easy, exciting experience. A self-proclaimed foodie, she frequents the local eateries and breweries, and can often be found on the South Slope with her husband, William, and Bernese Mountain Dog, Banks.

Dave Cash • Listing Specialist After spending many years in banking, investment, insurance, and real estate, Dave is Broker Asheville’s new listing specialist. Most recently he founded, ran and sold an Allstate insurance agency in Charlotte. A US Air Force veteran and a West Virginia State College grad, Dave is pleased to be making a new home in the Asheville community. His entrepreneurial spirit, communication and management skills make Dave a perfect fit on the Broker Asheville team. After living in Montford for a few months, Dave, his wife and three sons have just moved into the Kenilworth neighborhood. FROM OFFER TO CLOSE

The closing process finalizes the sale of your home and makes everything official. Also known as settlement, the closing is when you get paid and the buyer receives the deed to your home.

A FEW THINGS TO BRING TO THE CLOSING: • A valid government-issued picture ID • House keys • Garage door opener(s) • Mailbox and any other spare keys WHAT TO EXPECT: The attorney will look over the purchase contract and identify what payments are owed and by whom; prepare documents for the closing; conduct the closing; make sure taxes, title searches, real estate commissions and other closing costs are paid; ensure that the buyer’s title is recorded; and ensure that you receive any monies due to you. YOUR COSTS: Sellers commonly pay the following at closing: • Mortgage balance and prepayment penalties, if applicable • Other claims against your property, such as unpaid property taxes • Unpaid special assessments on your property
