Beauty and the Beast

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. The production features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman.

The Bromsgrove Young Musicians’ Platform (BYMP)

The Young Musicians’ Platform is open to talented young instrumentalists and singers. It has two categories, a junior section for those aged 9 to 13 and a senior section for those aged 14 to 17.

The 2025 auditions take place in Routh Hall on Thursday, 20th and Friday, 21st February (by prior application only). Further information can be found at www.bromsgroveplatform.com

Cultures Connect is a great opportunity to celebrate diversity and showcase different cultures. Students are encouraged to showcase elements from their own heritage, such as songs, music pieces, dances, acting performances or even reciting poems, allowing them to celebrate and share unique cultural identities.

Year 3 Music Scheme Concert

This year, our Year 3 pupils have been part of a Musical Carousel in their class music lessons. They have all been learning an instrument, but have also immersed themselves in musical theory, and have been learning about choral and singing techniques. For this concert, our Year 3 pupils will be coming together and showcasing all they have learned so far this year. We hope you can join us and celebrate their musical journey with us.

Join us for an evening of vibrant music as the Blackwell Concert Band and Stourport-onSevern Brass Band take the stage at Routh Hall. Enjoy a diverse and lively programme, featuring the award-winning Blackwell Concert Band, known for their dynamic performances and passion for music, alongside the fun and engaging sounds of the Stourport-on-Severn Brass Band, recent winners of the 2023 Midlands Brass Band Contest. With something for everyone, from classical to contemporary, this concert promises to be a celebration of spring and community spirit.

The popular lent Pop & Jazz concert featuring classic standards from the world of jazz and musical theatre, featuring the big band, soloists and small ensembles, entertain in a relaxed atmosphere, with the Routh Hall arranged as a cosy jazz club. Refresh yourself with drinks and snacks brought from home, or purchase a drink from the bar to enjoy in the balcony.

This event is very well attended, so early booking is advised.
