SPORTS CAMPS

• Our Sports Camps are for boys and girls aged between 8 and 15 years old (Years 3-9). They are run by qualified and experienced coaches (CRB Checked), with many of the course leaders also being full time teachers or staff members at Bromsgrove School, assuring the very best experience for your child.

TIME

• The sports courses run from 10am until 4pm each day. Drop off and collection is from the bottom of the Hospitality Suite in the Senior School. All parents must sign their child/ren in and out each day.

DATES

Easter 2013 - Sports Camps • Week 1: Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th April - Hockey Camp for boys & girls aged 10-15 Course Leader: Andrew Langlands (Level 3 Hockey Coach, England A and Former England Junior International, Regional Boys U14-U17 Coach). • Week 1: Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th April - Tennis Camp for boys & girls aged 8-12 Course Leader: Richard Lawton (Head Coach at Bromsgrove Tennis Club, CCA Level 4 Coaching). • Week 2: Monday 8th April to Thursday 11th April - Cricket Camp for 10-14 year olds (boarding places available) Course Leader: Dave Fallows (Director of Cricket, County & Junior Coach, ECB Level 3). • Week 2: Monday 8th April to Wednesday 10th April - Netball Camp for 10-15 year olds Course Leader: Emma Buckingham (Head of Senior Girls’ Games, Level 2 & West Midlands County Coach, East of England netball player). • Week 2: Monday 8th April to Wednesday 10th April - Rounders and Tennis Camp for boys & girls 8-12 Thursday 11th April to Friday 12th April - Tennis and Netball Camp for girls aged 8-12 Course Leader for Rounders & Netball: Jenny Danks (Head of Prep Girls’ Games, Level 2 Coaching, Assistant Coach to the West Midlands Warriors NTL team). Course Leader for Tennis: Richard Lawton (Head Coach at Bromsgrove Tennis Club, CCA Level 4 Coaching). Places are limited so please complete the booking form attached and return to Bromsgrove School at least four weeks before the camps begin. Boarding places are only available on the cricket camp. Courses will only run if the minimum required number of bookings is met.

COACHING

• All students on the sports camps will receive specialist coaching in cricket, hockey, netball, tennis or rounders. • All of the camps are organised and supervised by Bromsgrove School staff, who are all qualified and experienced elite coaches in their chosen sports. • The cricket camp offers an overnight boarding option. Boarding is only offered for the days that the camp is running (for example, the camp runs for four days, so boarding would be Monday to Wednesday, with pupils going home on Thursday afternoon. No boarding is offered on the Thursday evening).


COST

• £28.50 per day. This includes all coaching and a hot lunch each day. Or • £125 for the whole week (five-day camps). This includes all coaching and a hot lunch each day. • £100 for the whole week (four-day camps). This includes all coaching and a hot lunch each day. • £200 for the cricket camp boarding option (four-day camp). This includes all coaching, lunches, accommodation, supper and in-house activities during the evening.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU ON THE DAY

• Please arrive with the appropriate sports equipment relevant to the camp that you have booked onto.

Booking Terms and Conditions 1.

If after acceptance of a booking the client wishes to change any aspect of the booking, Bromsgrove School will endeavour to effect such an alteration. However if this is not possible the client shall be bound by the original booking. Camps will only take place if there is sufficient demand, as deemed by Bromsgrove School. 2. Places can be cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to the booked date with a 50% refund. After this date no refund wil be given. 3. No compensation will be paid or refund given if courses arranged by Bromsgrove are cancelled due to war, strikes, riot or quanrantine, or any other reasons beyond the control of Bromsgrove School. No compensation will be paid or refund given for cancellation of courses due to technical problems with transport or weather conditions, which in the opinion of Bromsgrove School, make the provision or continuation of the course impractical. 4. Bromsgrove School, its servants, agents and employees do not accept liability in respect of injury, sickness, loss or damage to property, unless caused by negligence.

Any regulations which might be necessary for Bromsgrove School to make in the interests of safety and comfort must be observed by those taking part. 6. As in all sports acivities children will be asked to remove all jewellery. Any child wearing jewellery will not be permitted to take part in sports activities. 7. Bromsgrove School cannot accept liability for children’s personal possessions such as mobile phones or MP3 players etc. 8. Any discounts shown only apply to the course/s named on the page and may be withdrawn at any time. 9. We reserve the right without refund to exclude or refuse any person at any time, prior to or during the Camps, if in our opinion that person is not compatible with the general enjoyment and well-being of the Camp. 10. All the advertised courses are subject to change according to weather, demand, programming requirements and other considerations. 11. Children are unable to attend without a completed form, signed by a parent or guardian.Parents are not to leave their children unless accepted in writing onto one of the courses.
