Easy Pear Crisp Crisp Topping 3/4 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sliced almonds 3 tbsp all-purpose flour 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces 1 pinch of salt Filling
1. Topping: Stir together the dry ingreidents. Add the butter and mix with hands until small clumps form. Cover with plastic and refrigerate. 2. Peel, halve, and core pears, then slice. Add to a bowl and toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
6 Pears, bosc preferred 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice 2 tbsp granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger, freshly grated 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp kosher salt
3.Toss with sugar, ginger, flour, and salt and transfer to a baking dish. Scatter topping over.
our tip:
4. Bake until bubbly, 50 to 60 minutes (tent top with foil if browning too quickly). Remove from oven and let cool for 20 minutes before digging in!
A crisp is always best the day of. And with vanilla ice cream on top!
