Chat Basics What You Want

How To Do It

Sending a Message Start by finding the person (Click HERE for steps) Double Click on Their Bar Type your message into the bottom bar Hit Enter on the keyboard to send message If it is the first message, they will get an alert letting them know you have started

Privacy Settings (Block Users) For any user, you can change what type of they contact they are or block them. Right click on the person, go down to Change Privacy Relationship You can then choose from many options, including blocking them

Putting People in Groups After you have made groups (click HERE to sheet on how to): Right click on a person, hover over Move Contact To Click on the Relevant Contact Group to place them in it.

Ad Hoc Group Conversation

To chat with more than one person, you have several options. This covers how to do so once you already have a chat going. Option 1: Drag participants from the Lync groups into the chat Option 2: Click on the

(bottom) and click Invite More People

Search for a person, double click them to add.
