COOK COUNTY SOUTHLAND JUVENILE JUSTICE COUNCIL The Mission of the Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Council (CCSJJ) of South Suburban Cook County Illinois is to decrease juvenile delinquency in: establishing partnerships; strengthening resources; implementing diversion opportunities Brookwood has partnered with the CCSJJ to provide group counseling sessions with the Midwest Family & Community Resources for up to 30 students per building. Also Mr. Alexander of WiseWorks, LLC will provide training to staff on restorative practices.

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a program designed for adults to help adolescents who are experiencing mental health or addiction challenges or is in crisis. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
