Assignment Notebooks... Does
Assignment Notebook? This really helps with organization and communication to you. Please purchase your child an assignment notebook and request that they write their assignments in the notebook. This includes reminders etc. Assignment notebooks can be purchased daily in the office for $8.00. your child have an

IAR (Illinois Assessment Readiness) testing will begin in March. https://il.digitalitemlibrary.com/home: access to the iar digital library for practice. Please encourage your child to use study island, readworks, and any other educational tool that will help to enhance their scores. Academic tutoring is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:10 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. During these tutoring sessions, students will receive academic support in ELA and Mathematics in preparation for the IAR assessment. Saturday Academic Camp is underway. It’s not too late to register. Please call Brookwood Middle School at 708-758-5350 to register. Students will receive one hour of math instruction, one hour of ELA instruction, and thirty minutes of physical fitness. Students are served a morning snack and given a lunch to take home. The PBIS activity for the month of February will be a bowling outing. Students can earn this activity by showing us positive behaviors throughout the school.

ABSENCE REPORTING Parents must call the school and report any student who will be absent. Should a child become ill at school, parents will be notified and it is their responsibility to see that the child is picked up. For each absence or tardiness, a parent must call the school before 8:30 a.m. When calling, please IDENTIFY yourself; give the STUDENT’S NAME, GRADE, and the TEACHER’S NAME and REASON FOR BEING ABSENT.
