8TH GRADE GRADUATION! The Graduation Committee met on May 1st and May 8th. Here is the plan we are implementing: •

On June 3rd between 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., students will be given an assigned time (10 students every (15) Minutes) to come to the Junior High. They will be asked to decorate their car and wear their cap and gown. They will also be required to sign a contract that they will follow social distancing requirements.

A cameraman will be in front filming the graduates as they arrive.

As parents and students arrive, we will have their graduation lawn signs lining Glenwood-Lansing Road in front of the school and leading into the parking lot.

All graduate’s names will be scrolling on the school marquee.

Brookwood Staff, BOE Members, will be lined up from the entrance holding signs and cheering on graduates, in front of the school to the exit standing six (6) feet apart (Markings will be on the ground to ensure compliance with six (6) feet rule).

We will have a D.J. (Mr. Fola) playing celebratory music at the front of the school.

We will have a fire truck from the Glenwood Fire Department with the lights flashing and a squad car from the Glenwood Police Dept. with the lights flashing.

8TH GRADE GRADUATION! •

We will have a banner hanging on the front of the school congratulating Brookwood Graduates, and a balloon arch for graduates to walk through as they enter the school.

As students arrive at the school, they will be brought into the gymnasium and lined up six (6)feet apart, ten at a time.

In the gymnasium, the superintendent, school board president, principal, photographer and cameraman will be the only people present.

The principal will call the student’s name, the student will walk up and receive his/her diploma from the superintendent and the school board president. A picture will be taken of each student receiving their diploma.

As each student finishes, they will be given their graduation t-shirt, and escorted out the side gym door, back to their parent’s car, and they will exit the parking lot.

We will continue this process until every graduate receives his/her diploma.

Students will be given a designated time on June 4th to pick up their lawn sign from the front of the school.

A video will be created that will include the valedictorian and salutatorian giving their graduation speeches, and an 8th grade student will also sing the National Anthem. We will piece together each student receiving his/her diploma for the video.
