HICKORY BEND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL It’s not enough to say that we’ve had a good school year. This year was incredibly challenging on many levels. We were persistent, driven, and determined to be successful. We leaned on each other, supported one another, and realized that there is so much more to school than just “books.” We accepted the challenge of establishing a “new normal” and triumphed over any hurdle that stood in the way of our goals. We have had so much more than just a good year: We’ve had a victorious year! As we end this school year and look forward to the next, please allow me to extend my gratitude to our School Board for their support and tenacity. Without their hardworking faithfulness we would not have been able to run programs, purchase supplies, or obtain needed human resources. Our Superintendent, Ms. Bethany Lindsay, was a true Champion for our children, fighting for their rights and needs, taking only “Yes” for an answer when it came to deciding on what we can do to make education in our district the best for children.
