The Heritage Group came to Browning Day seeking a design for their new space that would tell the company's story, provide centralized "incubating" spaces where ideas can grow and celebrate the company's identity, cultivate flexible work environment where employees are given the freedom to move and work in a variety of indoor/outdoor spaces and offer a functional laboratory space. This new corporate center needed to be a place to grow, innovate, learn and collaborate.

MacAllister Machinery

Indianapolis, Indiana

MacAllister Machinery’s new headquarters building combines several operations currently spread throughout the Indianapolis area on one campus, providing the best in contemporary design and amenities.

The 360,000 square-foot building seamlessly combines separate and distinct operations into a cohesive facility. A centrally located common warehouse creates a core from which the other facilities branch out. As you enter the property from Southeastern Avenue, the rental and sales areas are located on the northwest side with corporate and executive offices above. A common courtyard on the northwest side of the building supports a modest heritage display along with a dining and training facility.

The overall design was inspired from the Arts and Craft era, adapting the style through the surrounding landscape design and blending it with the new building. Although challenging with the scale of the site and building, the details of the Arts and Craft style are realized throughout.
