The Gonzales office of Express Employment Professionals started as a phone call from Corporate in 2013 and developed into a local company whose Christian-based core values are rooted in a passion for helping others succeed and giving back to the community. Owner of Express Employment Professionals, Amy Speaker Velez, describes the company as her home with values that totally, aligned with hers.
Since 2014, the Gonzales location has been dedicated to the success of the community as they provide employment for their clients and associates and build successful businesses along the way. The company has received several awards in its few years of operation, including Ascension Chamber Small Business of the Year and the Express Circle of Excellence Award.

Through this, foster children in the River Parish Region are provided with duffel bags with essential items to assist in their transitioning into foster care. During the outbreak of COVID-19, we all faced many uncertainties and challenges. Many of us did not know when we would return to work, business almost screeched to a halt, and the economy took a major dip. With money barely coming in and going out, being able to continue paying those who were working became complicated.
With the help of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), small businesses were able to apply for low-interest private loans which provided them with funds to pay up to eight weeks of payroll costs, including benefits.
