Introduction In the future, ID and R & D are already indispensable for industrial designers. Therefore, it is mainly aimed at training students to integrate R & D and ID. By doing the industry-academia cooperation with KOSO, a professional headlight company, I can gain a deeper understanding of the more professional areas behind design, including mold , testing, legal safety regulations, assembly, and more.

Research In order to understand market trends and achieve product segmentation, market research has become an indispensable link. Therefore, by integrating various product features, advantages and disadvantages in the market, there can be a clearer direction at the styling ideas in future.

Discrete I use the results of previous market surveys and target motorcycle types to thinking and sketching, and maximize the development of a shape that is different from existing products.

Convergence

Aiming at the sharp appearance of the YAM the contour of the overall body, the three with prototype.

Further Progress Integrate the thinking of R & D and ID to further modify the sketches. At this stage, design considerations are no longer just about styling, but still have to meet feasibility and production efficiency.

Concept The hawk-eye contour is used as a bionic structure, which echoes the speed and streamlined appearance of YAMAHA YZF-R1, and uses special grid light parts to create a special sequential lighting pattern. Aiming at the top view, I use sharp ridge lines to outline the neat appearance, so that the product itself is more closely matched the top view of the motorcycle.

Structure and Assembly 1 Base In order to simplify the assembly process and minimize costs, I use classification assembly to achieve simultaneous assembly to save time and cost.

Analysis In order to avoid shrinkage of the product during injection moulding, the thickness of the wall must be maintained at 0.6mm. In addition, the runner should have a wall thickness of more than 2.4mm and a depth of 2.0mm to meet the potting limit.

In order to make production smoother, the parting line must be smooth and complete, and the product must not be warped or cracked. Consider whether to add side sliders to facilitate product demoulding.
