Bruce A. Boyden
Biography Bruce Allen Boyden at the age of 12 took a part-time job as an aide at the then newly opened Christian Foundation School in Compton under the Leadership of Dr. Marjorie Booker, C.E.O., who inspired him to choose education as his future career. His early experiences under her guidance and vast knowledge gave him a foundation that prepared him for an aspiring teaching career. At the age of 19, Boyden was elected to chair of the Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee at Compton Community College. During his tenure as Chair, a post he held for 10 Years, revamped their bylaws to sharpen the focus on their main goals: helping the ECE office to coordinate better with citizens groups having similar interests and was instrumental in advocating for the planning and development of the State-Of-The-Art, Multi-Million Dollar Child Development Center which still stands and serves Children on the Campus of Compton Community College today.
