“Chasing the decisive moment has always been my drive in photography. These magical, one-time moments have defined my artistic sensibility. For me, it’s easy to set up a shot and create a moment in time. But to catch something fleeting that is poignant, compelling and simply breathtaking is what I prefer to do. We spend so much time moving from place to place, we often forget to observe – to really see what is hidden in plain sight.
“Being able to capture what I have seen in places I know I will never return to has become very important to me. People ask me if I always carry a camera; the answer is yes. When I travel, I always carry a Leica M6 to shoot in BW film. Knowing that I will not be able to review the image until it is developed causes me to focus more on what I see before the capture. Being able to print that one-of-a-kind black-and-white print completes my process of creating a photograph.

As I have gotten to know each country, I’ve always made lifelong friends. My passion is to share this amazing experience with other photographers.
