I was born in a town in the northeast of China in 1992. When I was a child, I liked sketching and painting so much, so I decided to learn industrial design as my majoy . I learn a lot in the univ, now I not only have the basic abilities such as sketching, 3D modelâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s construction and rendering, but also learn methods of thinking and designing. My favorite is car design and I also do design about furniture, electronics and articles for daily use. I am also interested in designing for the disadvantaged groups such as old people, handicappeds and the people who live in a poor condition. I also studied as a exchanged student in South Korea and joined in the workshop with Japanese in that period I learned a lot through working together with the students from all over the world. The softwares I can use: Rhinoceros, keyshot, 3Dmax, maya, PS, AI, Id, corelDRAW, ProE, Alias, painter, Flash, AE, CAD, sketchBook and ZB. I can also use machine to make models with multiple materials. My hobbies besides my majoy are CG and oil painting that I painted a lot of things in computer with my best â&#x20AC;&#x153;friendâ&#x20AC;? Wacom and I learn oil painting with a famous painter in my hometown until now.

I did my best to change and consummate every details until everything is perfect for me. I won’t be satisﬁed until the work done by me could show me abilities. Although 3 years’ education of design in the univ was not long enough for me to learn everything well and design anything which could win a worldwide award for myself, I will not give up searching in the ﬁeld of industrial design. CAR DESIGN

01 CONCEPTION CAR DESIGN FOR QOROS (not finished) Introduction This is a on-going design which will be ﬁnished in 1st, Jan, 2015. In this part, I research the info about the QOROS, and want to redesign its brand because QOROS has some problem in its market strategy. And I also concentrate on not only the exterior and the interior design but also the function and construction. I want to design a new kind of car for QOROS which I named “RGA”, meaning “roadster go anywhere”.

Marketing research

Introduction of QOROS QOROS is a new international company found in 2007, hoping to making the best car designing in China. It is concentrate on the young people who live in urban and make the best user experience through designing. It wants to occupy more portion of the market.

Types of QOROS Now the QOROS haves 1 type of car in operation, and 1 conception car.

Marketing strategy QOROS want to create more types of car and march into SUV market. SUV high level

larger market more types QOROS want to make Chinese market larger and also occupy Western market. QOROS want to have some high level types of cars instead of the cheap and low image.

CAR DESIGN

Problem in QOROS As a new brand, QOROS have a lot of problems which almost all the car company in China have. Although QOROS tries its best to do good design and make far-reaching strategy, but I don not think it will repay it because QOROS should not just follow the big company in West, but also search its own market in China, and ﬁnd new customers. exterior problem and heritage genes QOROS’s car design doesn’t have genes which is a big problem for most Chinese cars. Each types of QOROS have no similarity and people can not ﬁnd heritage in them. What’s worse, the exterior looks like some cars that already have such as Octavia.

AstonMartin’s heritage Types Marketing Strategy problem The SUV market is full and there is no space for the new company, and if the company improve a lot it is hard for QOROS to share Western market just like other Chinese cars. Also, a new company’s high level cars will not be recognized easily

Customers Marketing Strategy problem The QOROS wants to sell the cars to the young people in China, but the company can not explain why the young people will buy it, because there is no special design young people’s life and no particular design for the local Chinese lives.

Sketching and Ideation Design direction As a car for young people, the car should suit the youngâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s habits and daily life, which should be paid attention to. I think the young people need a car not expensive but looks good and fashion which is diďŹ&#x20AC;erent. We should reduce the material used in it and also cut down the fuel it uses for each kilo which also is environmental friendly.

Standing up Saving space when parking because ﬁnding a place to park is a big problem.

RGA conception When running in city, it is agile. When in high way, it is a cool roadster. When in ﬁeld it works like jeep. A guy can use his car in any situation.

Conception forming Young people in China have some problems in their daily life. When they go to work they always have no place to park their car. When they hurry to the company, they must face the heavy traﬃc. When they are tired, they have no place to rest. When they want to go out for travelling, they must rend a car because their small car can not stand the ﬁeld environment...

Chinese people have a habit of sleeping in the noon after lunch. But nowadays, most of the young people who work in an big company have no place to have a comfortable noon-sleeping. So I want to make the car a moving bed which a provide a special space for rest and also enjoy their life in the open country.

Capacity Nowadays, almost all the young people use their own cars just by themselves, so I minimize the volume of the car changing 4 seats into 2. So could less fuel be used, not only good for nature but also cut down expenses. And agile for the heavy traďŹ&#x192;c in the city.

Front wheel The front wheel is covered by the shell, which could cut down the noise and protect the body of the car.

Back wheel The construction of 3 wheels can improve the speed in highway and stability in ďŹ eld by rise and reduce the hight of the batholith and also reduce the resistance. And the construction of it can minimize it volume when parking.

02 SMART TABLE FOR COMPUTER Introduction When I am studing, my desk is also a big mass, there is paper, pens, keyboard, mouse and a lot of sundries, so I want to ďŹ nd a way to make the daily work easier. Nowadays the smart furnitures are popular in the worldâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s market, so I want to make my desk smart enough to solve this problem using the new science and technology.

03 INJECTOR DESIGN FOR DIABETES Introduction 100 milllion people in China have diabetes, such as my grandpa. I know that they must inject medicine before meals and it is very unconvenient for the diabetics to take the insulin with them when they come out of the home. I live with my grandfather, so I have seen that and then I decide to design a new injector for him and other people.

It is not only for holding the medicine, but also for protecting the needle and prevent to be used twice so that be safe.

Rubber:

The material is elastic so when the needle is in the bottle ,no insulin can outflow. And it is easy to take the needle out of the bottle.

Injector:

The stucture between the injector and the insulin make the two parts join and apart easily, but not easily separate easily by accidents.

Same size with the bottle. Hold the insulin that could be used only for one time.

The edge of the injector has a stucture to prevent the user pull the handle too much.

The handle is make into a form which is easier for the user to pull and push.

04 NATURE AND PETS Introduction

Sketching

This design should be put into the nature and feed the birds in the forest through peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s controlling. This conception comes from the bad relationship between human and animals nowdays. People are busy and have no time taking care of their pets and birds are controlled into a cage losing their freedom. So I think love is not only holding, we can feed the wild birds and enjoy the fun. In the same time we help the animals instead of hurting them. And through the technoloy those days, we can get a lot of new experience by trying to break out the cage and feed your pets in the open area and form a new social contact net.

App nowadays are very popular and could ďŹ nish many work.

People today used to use their phone at any possible time.

In the busy city people have little time to pet, but a lot of they also want to feed some animals.

Introduction This design comes from a idea about the Chinese traditional war. In the past, there are a lot of ideologists in China who thought there should be no war and every weapon was made to stop the war. So they made some weapons to get this aim. Chinese people love peace not only in the past but also now, so I make this production to tell the children not to forget the words the great men had said.

Museums I did some research in some museums to learn more about the city wall and the war cars.

Movies and books I did some research in the library reading books written in Ming and Qing and watched some movies about war in the ancient China.

06 TRIP & DRINK Introduction Trip&drink is a kettle used when you are in trip. The handle is made by new rubber which is adiabatic, besilient and light. So when you put it in your bag, it will save more space than the traditional ones. It a portable kettle.

Research in the China’s market Research in the supermarket I did some research in the surpermarket to ﬁnd the form of the kettle already have, and try to ﬁnd the space in the market. Famous brands in China’s market I did some research in the internet to see all the products made by the companies in China that sold best to see if there still something needs to be thought about and always be neglected

So I think we can change the shape of kettles into cube which could be put into a suitcase so that will not take up too may space to make the trip easier.

07 FRUIT ALARM Introduction I make the alarm clock and vadio into one production. Now days not so many people use the two things, so I wonder if I put some emotion in it ,wether it will open up a new market. So I make it into a fruit which have cute shape and beautiful colors to make users happy.

This handle is designed to be easier to be picked up so that would not hurt the users.

This hole is designed with a sloping face which is easier for the users to pick up the tools with their ďŹ ngers.

The material of each handle is adiabatic so that to be safe.

“DAILY MEMO” is aiming at recalling the memory of our childhood when we still use the calendar which we tear up a page a day and use up it at the end of the year. Nowadays, not many people still use such calendar in their lives. When I combine the permanent calendar with the convenient pasters, I make a old thing a new life and serve people better. This design’s users are the people who always alarm themselves what should to do next and be careful about the date. When the users use it, they could still tear up a page a day, feeling the way our grandfathers did. But the pages which are teared up are no longer garbage, but a new tool to serve us.

10 WOOD WITH PAPER Introduction

Simple and varied light This design is the combination of the paper and wood which are both traditional China’s material. This light can form a visual feeling of simple and elegant. This design not only have a classical feature but also combine with environmental protection which is a big problem of China. What this light needs are just 4 wood bars and a piece of paper reducing the cost of producting and material and saving the natural resource, so it is the truly design for China. And the lampshade could be DIY, so adding some taste in it.

When sketchingh I concentrate on exploring the way of joining the wood and the paper together and trying to use the least wood and the simplest construction, also trying to make the form more beautiful.

The hospital of our school will complete at the end of the year, so I design the direction sign for it. I inspected in the hospital and selected what to install and then design it to be easier to recognized. I design the logo of it which is a combination of a heart and a butterﬂy. I used wood as the material to make people feel warm and not so scared of the environment of the hospital. The signs are easy to change when the use of the rooms are changed.

Nowadays, with a total length of 1,450 meters (1,586 yards), the famous street reﬂects a variety of European style buildings. In total, there are 71 works, some of which are replicas reﬂecting the European style of architecture. Examples of the Renaissance through to the Baroque Period as well as the Eclecticism to the Modern School can be seen in 13 of these buildings.
