The wine has a persistent mousse with steady streams of tiny bubbles. Fresh and fragrant with golden delicious apples and pear aromatics. On the palate it has a hint of citrus and very long lasting sensation. Il Grigio is a classic aperitif to partner finger food, cold cuts, vegetables and fish of all kinds. BIANCO One of Italy’s best known white grape varieties, Trebbiano is a dry wine with a fresh and lively bouquet reminiscent of almonds. It is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, seafood antipasti, pasta or rice with seafood. It is also very good with light soups and medium aged cheese. This Pinot Grigio is from the Veneto region, one of the best areas in Italy for white wines. It is a crisp, dry, superb wine that has a hint of almonds on the palate with a fresh, clean and delicate bouquet. It is a fine compliment to antipasto, pasta, fish and white meat. This 100% Garganega Soave has a golden yellow colour with apple, peach and pineapple notes. Rich and fruity it has plenty of mineral aromas followed by a sumptuous yet fresh and remarkably moorish palate. Serve as an aperitif or with delicate pasta dishes, fish, white meat or fresh cheese.
This wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Grecanico, Viognier & Fiano, one of the modern expressions of winemaking in Sicilia. Straw yellow with light greenish hues it has a broad and lively aromatic bouquet of white melon, tropical fruit and lime with a good balance between acidity, suppleness and fullness. Excellent as an aperitif it is an energetic match with raw dishes (seafood and meat), lightly fried food and all types of salad.

Le Vaglie is one of the best examples of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Vermentino is a typical grape variety of Sardegna from Spanish origins. Argiolas choose the grapes from selected vineyards in the Selegas area. The wine is straw green in colour with a subtle bouquet and a crisp, pleasant finish. Serve with fish, pasta with seafood, light soups and cheeses. Grillo was used to make the famous Marsala and is perhaps the least known of the Sicilian varieties, though in no way inferior to those more widely recognised. The notes of pear and quince make it instantly recognisable and noteworthy. Ideal served with antipasti, crustaceans, seafood pasta and risotto. The Greco vines have covered the hills around the Vesuvius volcano since before the Roman conquest 2500 years ago. The wine is produced with grapes picked in mid October when at their peak in sugar content. Golden yellow in colour it has elegant and complex perfumes with hints of vanilla. This wine is at its best with oysters, seafood, crustaceans and white meats.
ROSÉ This delicious little Rose from Italy’s central east coast is made from indigenous grapes of the region. It is a vibrant, bright cerise red colour and the aromas of alpine strawberries, pomegranate and a hint of almond literally leap out of the glass at you. The palate has the faintest touch of sweetness, but it is balanced by that nice sour twist that all good Rosés have.
Produced with Syrah grapes from their premium Menfi vineyards this wine has a luminescent rose’ colour that reveals notes of berries, ferns and roses. On the palate it is round and vibrant with a bracing acid structure and a soft finish reminding one of wild strawberries. This is an all meal wine that is excellent with antipasti, soups, fish and veal dishes.
Produced with 100% Negroamaro grapes, this wine was the first Rosé commercially bottled in Italy just after the Second World War. It has a luminescent rosé colour that reveals notes of berries, ferns and roses. Remole is a blend of Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the renowned Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi. It is an intense ruby red wine with a nose of ripe fruits and delicate wild flowers with a full body and a persistent finish. Enjoy it with antipasti, spicy pasta dishes and grilled meats. This is a classic example of a wine for all dishes. . From beautiful vineyards facing the Adriatic Sea, comes this outstanding Montepulciano. Dark red in colour, it has a black cherry fragrance with warm, rich and harmonious flavours and a long persistent finish. It is fantastic with game, red meats, pasta with mushroom or meat sauces and most rich dishes. This wine is a 100% Nero d’Avola, the typical Sicilian grape variety. Ruby red with a purple hue it has a very fresh, fruity nose of raspberry and prune with soft tannins and a long finish. Try with pasta with meat sauces, lamb, sausages and grilled meat. Lagrein, one of Alto Adige’s indigenous varieties, is typically ruby to garnet red in colour with evocative scents of violets and blackberries. The taste is full, showing a strong structure with a long finish. Excellent with pasta with meat sauces, red meats, game and medium mature cheeses.
Produced with Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes, Brecciarolo is deep ruby red in colour. The bouquet is of intense red cherries and liquorice with a full body and an enjoyable suppleness. Excellent with roast and grilled meats, stews, game and aged cheese.
La Segreta is a ruby red wine laden with black fruit and cherry notes. The palate is full and pleasant with soft and velvety tannins thanks to is blend of Nero d’Avola, Merlot & Syrah. It is ideal with ossobuco, tapas, barbecues, pasta with meat sauces and pizza. This Zinfandel (the English name for Primitivo) is made with Primitivo grapes picked from individual vineyards in the top production area of Manduria, from vines between 40 and 60 years old. It is brilliant red ruby in colour with a soft palate of strawberry and raspberry jam. Serve with pastas, stews, roasted and grilled meats. This wine is a blend of Nero d’Avola, the typical Sicilian grape variety and Syrah. Ruby red with a purple hue it has a very fruity nose of raspberry and prune with soft tannins and a long finish. Try with pasta with meat sauces, sausages and grilled meat.
Valpolicella is produced with a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. After fermentation the wine is stored in oak barrels for 12 months before being released. Ruby red with a good body and a soft, delicate bouquet of almonds it is a versatile wine that is at its best with antipasti, pasta and meat.
This Barbera is from a tiny estate of the Altare family in the heart of the Langhe area. Dark ruby red in colour with a nose of blackberries, chocolate and vanilla. It is soft and full-bodied with soft tannins and a long finish. Excellent with pasta dishes with meat sauces, roast chicken, lamb and medium aged cheese. The Aglianico vines are grown on a plateau laden with fertile volcanic ash from the Vesuvius volcano. The grapes are hand-picked and after fermentation in stainless steel the wine is matured in French oak for 12 months. Rubrato is a brilliant ruby colour with rich, intense notes of red fruits and spices. Try with roast meats, stews, pasta with meat sauces. Cannonau is a typical red grape from Sardegna and its origin goes back to Grenache vines imported to the Island by the Spanish. The pale garnet to mahogany colour is deceptive in that it masks the strength of a robust red with intense flavour. After a year in barrel, it has the warmth and humour of an old red. Perfect with red meat, roasts and game. A stunning Chianti Classico from this superb, small, award winning estate, only 7km from the centre of Florence, belonging to the Frescobaldi family. It has soft tannins, concentrated berries on the palate with a warm long finish. Great with red meats, rich sauces, cheese or simply enjoyed by itself. A new wine from this Sicilian winery managed by the talented winemaker Alessandro Cellai. Produced with the typical Sicilian variety Nero d’Avola, the wine has a sweet nose of plum and blackberry while the palate presents elegant tannins and a gratifying finish. Excellent with rice and pasta with meat sauces, roasts, grilled fish and mature cheeses. Thanks to an agreement between the owner of the estate and a group of famous Italian fashion designers including Versace, Valentino, Missoni, Gianfranco Ferre` all of the wines from this estate boast designer labels and part of the proceeds is used to restore a Sicilian work of art.

The estate’s cellars were once an Albanian settlement dating back to the 15th century and comprise a group of ten underground grottos. From their tiny estate on the hillside of Mount Vulture, an ancient volcano, they produce two outstanding Aglianicos with a modern style. Basilisco is ruby-red coloured with deep purple nuances. It has a complex aroma of plums, blackberries and cherries. On the palate it is full and rounded with long textural finish. Try with lamb dishes, game and seasoned cheese.
A superb Chianti Classico Riserva from this award winning winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. One of only a few Chianti`s still produced with only the traditional grape varietal Sangioveto, with no international grape variety added. Soft tannins, concentrated berries on the palate with a warm long finish. Great with red meats, rich sauces, cheese or simply enjoyed by itself. This wine, whilst being approachable now, will age very well for a long time. Pio Cesare is a pioneer of producing and exporting Barolo since 1920. From different vineyards in the Barolo area, it is a dense garnet-ruby wine with a narrow rim, it parades a cornucopia of aromas with clear, fragrant notes of mulberry. The wine’s incredibly solid structure comes through on the palate and the progression is full-bodied and mouth-filling, bolstered by the sweetest of tannins right to its long, elegant and balanced finish. Barolo is a real treat to enjoy with every dish.
The best Molinara, Corvina and Rondinella grapes are left to dry on mats until February and then soft pressed and fermented with long contact with the skins. The wine is left to mature in small French barriques for 3 years and then in bottle for 1 year before being released. The bouquet is ethereal with vanilla and a ripe fruit scent. The body is full, rich, round and harmonious. Serve with game, roast meat or as a meditation wine.

Castelgiocondo Castle dominates the surrounds of Montalcino with its beautiful vineyards. This world acclaimed wine has a pronounced ruby red colour that is dense but vividly clear. The body is full and rich of pulpy fruits with tannins that are expressive but not invasive and a long persistent finish.
