Who? Hedy Lamarr it's the art name of Hedwig Kiesler. She was an austrian actress and an inventor, but she was subsequently naturalized american.
When? Hedy Lamarr was an actress, a scientist, an inventor and she worked on radio station. She studied technology of encryptions too.

Hedy Lamarr married Friedrich Mandl. He bought a lot of CD of "Ekstase" to avoid the diffusion.
In 1937 Hedy Lamarr abandoned Friedrich and escaped in Paris. Here she met Louis B. Mayer, the Metro- Goldwyn- Mayer's founder.
Louis Mayer proposed her the name "Hedy Lamarr", in Barbara La Marr honour.

The End Hedy Lamarr's career in the world of the cinema, ended in 1981, when she moved in Florida. Hedy developed an obsession for her beauty and she was subjected at numerous intervention of plastic surgery. She died the 19 of January in 2000 for a series of problem of her heart. Her cinders was dispersed in Austria, in the Vienna's forest, where she was born 85 years ago.
