Managing a career is a lifelong journey. So, too, is Brunswick’s commitment to our alumni: The Brunswick Career Center’s comprehensive resources help alumni achieve success at every stage
O
of their careers.
UR WORK GIVES OUR LIVES MEANING and purpose. It’s a pivotal contributor to our happiness, satisfaction, self-esteem, and relationships with others. It’s often our first major life step, and few long-term endeavors we undertake are as informative and important. To underscore that importance, parents of the Class of 2022 have imagined and conceived a Senior Gift that will have lasting and permanent impact on the lives of ’Wick boys, far into the future and throughout their whole working lives — raising funds to endow operation, staffing, and programming of the Brunswick Career Center. In the years since its inception, even with the exceptional challenges that have arisen since the initiative began, the Career Center has already accrued an impressive record of
success — 55 alumni hired into full-time jobs, 171 internships identified for college-age alumni, 85 career events hosted, panels, business treks, Upper School Senior Career Day, Excel workshops, modeling and evaluation training, resume writing, networking, and more. The Career Center has grown to become the established home of state-of-the-art resources that enable networking among fellow alumni, job searches, interview preparation, negotiating an offer, and much more. It’s a place where experienced professionals can connect with and support young alumni by sharing insight, posting jobs, and/or by creating internships using a step-by-step guide. And this is only the beginning! These early achievements are just the foundation for a strengthened future of con-
nections and resources for scores of Brunswick students and alumni. With a fundraising goal of $1.5 million, generosity of the parents of the Class of 2022 will now secure the venture in perpetuity, as a permanent resource to Brunswick alumni as they manage their careers during the course of a lifetime — from college internships, to that first job, to the seasoned professional navigating through the maturity of life, for all alumni, the Brunswick Career Center will remain uniquely positioned to advise and support at every stage. In gratitude for our achieving our goal, to honor and salute our graduating sons, Directorship of the Career Center will be named for the Class of 2022 — permanent and prestigious recognition bound to touch and enhance the lives of hundreds of alumni of all ages, including our sons themselves, for years to come. 2022 SENIOR FUND COMMIT TEE Alexandria & Michael Altman Elizabeth & Sean Carney Lisa & Chris Errico Co-chairs Barbara & Chris Baxter Brooke & Wells Beck Katie & Todd Boehly Meghan & Michael Caponiti Robin & Jim Carey Susan & Frank Carroll
