Press BOX Church Plans to Allow Guns in Sanctuary BATON ROUGE — The controversy continues over a new law going into effect allowing people to bring guns into church, but one Baton Rouge church is fully embracing it. Some church officials say guns have no place in a house of worship, while others believe in protecting their congregation by any means necessary. “Everybody is not happy with what God is doing,” said Pastor Eric Williams of Beacon Light Church. “So, we’ve got to protect God’s people at any See GUNS, on page 3

First Lady Obama Tells NAACP Not to Rest
Southern University Receives $25,000 from Hollywood Casino
By Hazel Trice Edney NNPA Editor-in-Chief
(NNPA) - Those who struggled and many who died in battles for freedom, justice, and racial equality during the Civil Rights Movement left a legacy that must yet be fulfilled - even in caring for the health of Black children, First Lady Michelle Obama reminded thousands at the NAACP Annual Convention in Kansas City, Mo., this week. “I know that I stand here today, and I know that my husband stands where he is today, because of this organization - and because of the struggles and the sacrifices of all those who came before us,” Obama said in a passionate speech punctuated with applause. “But I also know that their legacy isn’t an entitlement to be taken for granted. And I know it is not simply a gift to be enjoyed. Instead, it is an obligation to be fulfilled.” Remarkably, her speech on Monday nearly echoed earlier sentiments expressed First Lady Michelle Obama by NAACP Chairman Roslyn Brock on Sunday evening, who also listed the sins of grassroots to the White House inequality that still plague indicates both the distance African-Americans. BATON ROUGE, LA - The Capitol High Academies Board named Edwine Johnson-Muse as its new school principal during a special called meeting this morning, effective immediate. Muse has over 25 years of experience as a high school educator and administrator. During this past school year, she served as the Academy Director for Capitol High. “My energy and focus will be about the students and professional development for our faculty, and engaging par-

children still attend crumbling schools, and a Black child is still far more likely to go to prison than a White child, I think the founders of this organization would agree that our work is not yet done,” Obama said. She continued, “When African-American communities are still hit harder than just about anywhere by this economic downturn, and so many families are just barely scraping by, I think the founders would tell us that now is not the time to rest on our laurels. “When stubborn inequalities still persist - in education and health, in income and wealth - I think those founders would urge us to increase our intensity, and to increase our discipline and our focus and keep fighting for a better future for our children and our grandchildren.” Obama, who grew up humbly on the South Side of Chicago, is especially sensitized to economic inequities and overcoming them. Among her foremost issues as First Lady has been childhood obesity which often results from economic inequities. “And that’s why I really wanted to come here today because I wanted to talk with you about an issue that I believe cries out for our attention - one that is of particular concern to me, not just as First Lady, but as a mother who believes that we owe it to our kids to prepare them for the challenges that we know lie ahead. And that issue is the epidemic of childhood obesity in America today,” she said. Citing that one in three children is overweight or obese, Obama said the stats are even worse for Black children. “Just like with so many other challenges that we face as a nation, the African American community is being hit even harder by this issue,” she said. “African-American children are significantly more likely to be obese than are White children. Nearly half of African-American children will develop diabetes at some point in their lives. People, that’s half of our children.” Even as illnesses that derive from obesity such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, mental and emotional health and low self-esteem issues can result in economic crisis for many families, that crisis also costs the nation, Obama pointed out. “And we’re already spending billions of dollars in this country a year to treat these conditions. And that number is only going to go up when
these unhealthy children reach adulthood.” Pleading for those in the audience to help reverse the trend, Obama framed childhood obesity as if it is another civil or human rights issue. “So we need to take this issue seriously, as seriously as improving under-achieving schools, as seriously as eliminating youth violence or stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS or any of the other issues that we know are devastating our communities,” she said. She illustrated the problem with statistics that the audience easily recognized: “Studies have found that African-American children spend an average of nearly six hours a day watching TV - and that every extra hour of TV they watch is associated with the consumption of an additional 167 calories,” she said. Referring to what is now known as food deserts – neighborhoods where nutritional foods cannot be found to purchase because of the absence of grocery stories – Obama pushed for parental action. Drawing empathetic laughter from the audience as she pulled examples from her own life, she appealed for parents to put vegetables on every plate; limit treats like sodas, and cut back on sweets. “Surely the men and women of the NAACP haven’t spent a century organizing and advocating and working day and night only to raise the first generation in history that might be on track to live shorter lives than their parents.” Obama has planted a garden on the South Lawn of the White House and launched a “Let’s Move” campaign to promote exercise. She recommended that parents and children visit the new website, Letsmove.gov. The movement must start with self-example, she said. “Believe it or not, if you’re obese, there’s a 40 percent chance that your kids will be obese as well. And if you … and the child’s other parent are obese, that number jumps to 80 percent,” she said. “And this is more than just genetics at work. The fact is, we all know we are our children’s first and best teachers and role models. We teach them healthy habits not just by what we say but by how we live.” Finally, Obama told the audience to look to others – even each other – for encouragement – the same way that they did and still do in the Civil Rights Movement.

Guns from page 1 cost.” He believes the new law Gov. Bobby Jindal has signed is needed. Church officials will now be allowed to let people with concealed handgun permits carry their weapons to church. They would have to take an extra eight hours of tactical training each year and the congregation must be alerted of the possible changes headed their way. “That doesn’t mean everyone should have a gun, only those who have been through the proper training. Security, police, those types are the only ones who should have those types of weapons on the premises,” Williams added. Williams said he plans to announce to his congregation on Aug. 15 that certain people will be carrying concealed handguns in church. The new law does not apply to churches on school property.
Community Improvement Plan Update: Northdale Over 50 residents of the Northdale area gathered at a local school in May to roll up their sleeves and discuss the future of their neighborhood. Taking part in the East Baton Rouge Redevelopment Authority’s Community Improvement Plan Visioning Workshop, participants discussed both assets and challenges to their neighborhood, and agreed that small businesses offering dining, shopping, and entertainment would be a welcomed addition to the area. The intent of the Visioning Workshop on May 20, 2010 at the Community School for Apprenticeship Learning was to gain public input to develop the vision for the Northdale Community Improvement Plan. The RDA and its consultant team, led by Phillips-Davis Legacy of New York and Brown+Danos landdesign of Baton Rouge, are designing five Community Improvement Plans, or CIPs, in the North Baton Rouge area in 2010. In addition to the Northdale area, other areas undergoing community improvement planning include Scotlandville Gateway, Choctaw Corridor, Melrose East and the Zion City
& Glen Oaks areas. “You can have the best plans and intentions at heart for improving an area, but it has no meaning without input from the community. They are the everyday users and have the best vision for the future of their area,” said Councilwoman Tara Wicker, who participated in the workshop. Participants at the workshop reviewed maps of their neighborhood and collaborated on identifying what they considered the assets and challenges of the area. Besides residents’ concern for the lack of small businesses to support the community, participants also identified the local park and schools as assets to the Northdale community. Meeting attendees also expressed a desire to see rehabilitation of existing housing and businesses, listing blight, infrastructure and safety as concerns for area residents and business owners. Development of the Northdale Community Improvement Plan will be based on public input and technical analysis of the area, according to the RDA.
“We have residents using markers and maps to tell planners what they would like to see, not the other way around,” said Walter Monsour, President & CEO of the East Baton Rouge Redevelopment Authority (RDA). “We’re going to take these ideas, compile and organize them, and bring them back to the community next month to detail out their vision even further.” On Saturday, August 14, the RDA and its team will bring alternative designs to the public at the Northdale Alternatives and Implementation Workshop, which will be held at the Louisiana Workforce Commission building at 22nd and Fuqua Streets. The workshop will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided and other community organizations will be present with information on their resources and services. The five CIP areas are being addressed on a rolling basis over a 12-month period. Visioning for the Melrose East area is scheduled to begin this month and will consider the area bordered by Florida Boulevard and Renoir Drive, and North
Ardenwood Drive and Lobdell Boulevard. The Melrose East Visioning workshop will be held Thursday, July 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at BREC Headquarters at 6201 Florida Boulevard. Elections Matter: Don’t Sit On Your Hands This Fall By Julian Bond NNPA Guest Commentary (NNPA) - “If the teachers sit on their hands this fall, it would be a disaster for Obama and the Democrats,” said a scholar who follows educational politics last week. And it would be a gift to an opposition which has said no to a tax on big banks, apologized to big oil, and encouraged bigotry and fanaticism at its fringes. Teachers have a right to express disappointment in Obama– they spent millions helping to elect him in 2008. The administration has angered teachers in a dispute over whether funds intended for them can be diverted into an educational program. This dispute may or may not be solved in a few weeks, but the teachers’ anger echoes other segments of the progressive coalition – angered that the change they hoped for hasn’t come to pass, angered that Obama seems to be just a regular politician. That perception of the Obama Administration ignores its many accomplishments to date. In spite of an opposition marching in lockstep and pledging to make it fail, the Administration’s record to date is quite impressive.
Anyone who contributes to the defeat of Democratic members of Congress this fall will weaken Obama’s chances of adding to this record. If you want Obama to do more, you have to give him more to do it with, not less. If progressive voters stay at home in November – as young voters have done in every election since they turned out in record numbers for Obama in 2008, we will get whacked by right-wing whackos, and the country will suffer immeasurably as a result. In his brief tenure as President, Obama has brought us back from Bush’s precipice with a $100 billion stimulus that has begun to revive our infrastructure and transportation system and which contained tax incentives for clean energy and $60 billion for energy development, engineered passage of revolutionary health reform, and is about to get a hefty financial reform bill. He succeeded in urging Congress to pass the Lilly Ledbetter Act, which insures equal pay for equal work. He did the same with the “Matthew Sheppard Act”, adding extra penalties for hate crimes. He stopped banks from profiting from student loans which
Senate Goes on Recess but Unemployment Doesn’t Take a Holiday (NNPA) - “The hardship and suffering caused by unemployment penetrates every area of life. As a result, unemployment benefits for more than one million out of work Americans have now been terminated. The bill would have also extended tax cuts for small businesses, provided billions of dollars to states to prevent layoffs of state and local workers, extended Medicaid reimbursements for states and made available $1 billion for a youth summer jobs
By George E. Curry NNPA Columnist If there were any doubts about whether LeBron James should have migrated from the cold winters of Cleveland to sunny Miami, they were removed when Dan Gilbert, the Cavaliers’ majority owner, issued a scathing criticism of Cleveland’s “former hero” who demonstrated “cowardly betrayal” by deciding not to remain in Cleveland after becoming a free agent. Gilbert’s open letter to fans was actually an open attack on James, who gave the franchise seven years to assemble an adequate support crew around him. When they failed, he opted to sign with the Miami heat, where he will be paired with two allstar teammates. James was wrong to make Gilbert learn of his decision by watching James’ reality TV announcement on ESPN instead of extending him the courtesy of a telephone call prior to the announcement. Still, that didn’t justify Gilbert’s attempt to humiliate his former star attraction. “As you know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier,” Gilbert wrote. “This was announced with a several-day, narcissistic, selfpromotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of

That number could reach 2 million by the time the Senators return from their vacation on July 12th. This will have a devastating impact on the millions of Americans who have been out of work for at least six months. Without the extension of unemployment benefits, many may lose their homes, their life savings and the ability to provide for their families. With15 million Americans currently out of work and 45.5 percent of them falling into the category of the long-term unemployed, there is an urgent need for legislation now that funds direct job creation, training for the chronically unemployed See holiday, on page 7
Racial Discrimination in the Gulf Reconstruction By Ron Walters NNPA Columnist (NNPA) - The big story about the NAACP convention meeting in Kansas City was whether President Obama would come or not. But I think that Ben Jealous hit the right nerve in his opening speech to the Convention when he delivered a report that organization had put together from a series of meetings in affected communities in the Gulf area where the oil spill occurred. The Report found that minorities have been locked out of contracts for clean-up and other kinds of work and are routinely given the lowestpaying jobs; people are at risk of loosing their houses and businesses because work has dried up; many of these communities were hit by Katrina and Rita and have not recovered; fumes and pollution are a serious problem and workers are often not given the correct protective clothing. Update on Improvements to Vessels of Opportunity Program Doug Suttles, Chief Operating Officer of BP Exploration and Production, met with Vessels of Opportunity (VoO) participants to view operations and discuss a number of enhancements made to the VoO program. Through these modifications, the program will more effectively deploy boats to oil recovery activity and better utilize local commercial and charter fishing vessels to advance the effectiveness of the Gulf of Mexico response. “The enhancements announced today will further strengthen the Vessels of Opportunity program, getting the right vessels into the fight in the fairest way possible.” said Suttles. “We’ve listened carefully to those working on this important effort, and we appreciate the changes they’ve recommended. This program is an important piece of our efforts to make things right in the Gulf of Mexico. The hard work of those within the program continues to make a significant contribution to the response.” The operational characteristics developed by the U.S. Coast Guard and BP represent existing best practices and
improvements suggested by program participants. Enhancements include: • Leveraging the local Branch offices, with boats within each Branch organized into response Task Forces and Strike Teams to meet key operational demands. The Task Forces report into the Branch operations, improving how we better bring resources into the response. • Improved air surveillance through the use of Tyndall Air Force Base. • Increased vessel rotation frequency, subject to operational needs. • Increased focus on local, in-state vessel sourcing. • Focused on commercial and charter fishing vessel use with the goal of better oil recovery; recreational craft will be used only when no suitable local commercial vessels are available. • Clarifying the operation pool size to ensure it is appropriate and includes the right type of vessels. Grammy Winner Walter Hawkins Passes Away Dead at Age 61 RIPPON, CA - Walter Hawkins, the Grammy Awardwinning gospel singer/composer and pastor of Oakland’s Love Center Church, died July 11th at his home in Rippon. For the last two years, Hawkins has been battling pancreatic cancer. He was 61 years old. “Today, I lost my brother, my pastor, and my best friend,” said Hawkins’ brother, Edwin Hawkins. “Bishop Hawkins suffered bravely but now he will suffer no more and he will be greatly missed.” During the 1970s, Walter Hawkins personified a new wave of gospel artists such as his brother Edwin Hawkins of “Oh Happy Day” fame, and Andrae Crouch, who brought a youthful contemporary vibe to gospel music. Hawkins cut a series of best-selling “Love Alive” LPs that remain gospel classics to this day. Hawkins’ songs have been recorded by a who’s who in music ranging from Aretha Franklin and “American Idol” champ Ruben Studdard to Vickie Winans and M.C. Hammer. “The impact that Walter Hawkins had on gospel music was so profound and far-reaching that it is now, and forever shall be, part of gospel’s DNA,” says gospel music historian, Bob Marovich, who edits The Black Gospel Blog. Hawkins was born May 18, 1949 in Oakland, CA. Reared in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) denomination, Hawkins became a master pianist as well as a dynamic singer with an operatic vocal range. His brother, Edwin, had already made a name for himself in 1969 when “Oh Happy Day” became an international hit. While studying for his master ’s of divinity degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Hawkins recorded his first LP “Do Your Best” in 1972. An October 1972 Billboard magazine reviewer wrote, “Walter Hawkins is a pianist of enviable accomplishments while his vocal prowess is in no way disputable. He’s gathered around him an exceptional crew of sidemen and vocalists and the total effect is

completely invigorating.” The following year, Hawkins became a pastor and founded the Love Center Church in East Oakland. After forming the Love Center Choir, he recorded their first album as a church family. He used $1,800 he borrowed from his motherin-law to complete the project. It was the first in a series of LPs named “Love Alive” and it debuted on Light Records in 1975. The album featured his then-wife, Tramaine, leading “Changed” and “Goin’ Up Yonder” which became two of the biggest gospel songs of the decade. A runaway smash, the “Love Alive” album sold a staggering 300,000 copies. The five “Love Alive” LPs featured classic gospel songs such as “I Love the Lord,” “Be Grateful,” “I’m Goin‘ Away,” “Thank You, Lord” and “Until, I Found the Lord.” In the `80s, Hawkins recorded a number of solo LPs and produced a number of artists, including Tramaine. Although, he had earned nine Grammy Award nominations during his career, Hawkins only won one for his performance on “The Lord’s Prayer” LP in 1980 (he also performed on the televised Grammy Awards ceremony that year). In 1990, Hawkins released “Love Alive III” which became the biggest seller of the “Love Alive” album series. The radio favorites were See hawkins, on page 7
I’ve got many “favorite scriptures,” and one of them is Ephesians 5:21, which admonishes the husband Donald and wife to submit Lee themselves one to another in the fear of God. What I love about that scripture is that it levels the playing field; it eliminates the Big I’s and little U’s. It dismantles an ill-informed husband’s contention that his wife is supposed to “submit” to him because he’s the head of the household or the misinformed wife’s argument that the husband is to love her as Christ loved the church. Yeah, what each has a tendency to allude to is Ephesians 5:22-24 and Ephesians 5:25-28, respectively. The husband refers to the first-referenced scriptures to fit his program while the wife throws at him the latter passages to advance her agenda. So, in other words, each uses scripture as a weapon formed against one another. And they do that by allowing the devil to creep in and influence them to twist scriptures

to get their own selfish points of view across to one another. What they do, in essence, is take scriptures out of context, which is the very same thing Satan tried (unsuccessfully) with Jesus in Matthew 4:1-10. Newsflash, contentious spouses: You can’t live like the devil and expect godly results. Man, you can’t disregard the things of God and walk outside of His statutes and commandments and then decide to use a scripture to make your wife bow down to you because “the husband is the head of the wife.” And if you would just keep reading that scripture (Ephesians 5:23) you’re pulling from, you’d see in that same passage that if you’re going to truly be the head, you must be head, or leader, “even as” Christ is head of His church. Jesus Christ is just not any old kind of “head,” but He is the godly head. And if your extracted scripture is going to work for you, you’ve got to function as He functions. Woman, neither can you walk outside of God’s statutes and commandments and expect godly results. Scriptures don’t support a wife being contentious and then expecting God to bless her mess. In fact, it says a contentious wife, or foolish woman, tears down her house with her own hands (Proverbs 14:1). When you pull from Ephesians 5:25, remember that you represent “the church,” who is espoused to Christ, which means you are commanded to be sub-

missive in marriage. And to both husband and wife: Just in case you’re confused, submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:21) is what makes the scriptures that follow this one come to life in your marriage. When you perfect this scripture, the others automatically work for you as a family unit. But an unwillingness to do so spells bad news. “A marital relationship begins to deteriorate when each person wants their own opinion to dominate. That’s why the Bible teaches that we are to submit to one another,” says Bre Eaton, an associate pastor and intercessor at God’s Guiding Light Christian Center in southeast Houston. In a marriage, it is necessary for the couple to agree on decisions that affect them daily, Pastor Bre, 40, says. “These decisions are about discerning the best thing to do in a particular situation,” Pastor Bre points out. For instance, she says, a couple who is looking to buy a home must agree on the price that best suits their budget, among other things to consider. “At times, it is not always clear which course of action to take,” Pastor Bre says. “This is where praying together and coming into agreement comes in.” So, in a situation where a married couple has a problem with mutual submission, the couple can either end up buying a home that they are not in agreement on, which will ulti-
mately lead to a disastrous end, or they will end up not getting a home at all. “Suppose a wife felt in her heart God saying, ‘This is the home for you,’ yet the husband is doubtful,” Pastor Bre says. “What do you think could happen next? The husband could override his wife’s discernment and disagree to buy the house, not because the house wasn’t a good choice, but because he wasn’t the first to arrive at the conclusion that it would be a good purchase.” Sounds silly? We agree. But, believe it or not, scenarios like this one are a result of a lack of mutual submission and they ultimately lead to divorce. I often say: “You bless God through how you treat your spouse or you rebel against God through how you treat him (or her).” Do you want to bless the Lord, and thus have a successful marriage? Then submit yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Next week: Part XI in the Marriage and Relationships series, the importance of an Accountability Circle of friends. Hawkins from page 6 “There’s A War Going On”, “ I Love You, Lord” and “He’ll Bring You Out.” The LP spent 34 weeks at #1 on the Billboard gospel album sales chart during the almost 100 weeks it spent on the survey. The album went on to sell over a million copies. The 1993 “Love Alive IV” also peaked at #1 on the album sales chart and spent a year on the survey. In between projects, Hawkins was ordained a Bishop in October 1992. As elder statesmen in gospel, Hawkins become a favorite for cameo appearances in recent years. The Mississippi Mass Choir had a hit with him on “Hold, On, Soldier” in 1993 and Donald Lawrence & the TriCity Singers watched him steal the show on “Seasons” from their “Go Get Your Life Back” CD in 2002. The 2001 “Love Alive V” CD featured a huge comeback hit for Hawkins with the ballad, “Marvelous.” Hawkins’ final solo CD “A Song in My Heart” won a Stellar Award for Traditional Gospel Album of the Year in 2006. He was inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2007. After surgery for pancreatic cancer in late 2008, the Hawkins Family (Walter, Edwin, Tramaine, and sister,
Lynette) staged a successful, multi-city Hawkins Family reunion concert tour. At the time of his death, Hawkins was planning a new “Love Alive” CD concert recording for this fall. Hawkins relished being a pastor as much as he enjoyed singing. “Early on I thought my ministry and my music were apart from each other. But now I see they work hand-in-hand,” he once said. “I can go a lot of places with my music that I can’t go as a pastor and vice versa. The purpose of both is getting the message out to people. I’ve had some material blessings and it’s okay to have them, but to be blessed with peace of mind and joy in your life, that’s when you will be truly fulfilled.” Hawkins is survived by his two children, Walter “Jamie” and Trystan Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Myiia Hawkins; two grandchildren Jamie-Daniel and Jahve; a host of nieces and nephews; the Love Center Church family and Choir; and his siblings Carol, Feddie, Edwin, Daniel, and Lynette. Holiday from page 4 and extension of much needed unemployment benefits. The crisis in urban America is even more severe. The Labor Department’s latest employment report shows that the economy lost 125,000 jobs in June, resulting in an overall unemployment rate of 9.5 percent. The unemployment rate for African Americans remains in double digits at 15.4 percent and for Black men it has soared to 17.4 percent. The unemployment rate for Latinos also remains disproportionately high at 12.4 percent. Clearly, instead of taking a vacation, the Senate should be working overtime to create jobs and put Americans back to work. The Senate’s failure to pass a jobs bill before taking a recess may represent an all-time low in Congressional ineptitude and indifference. And to those who place deficit reduction ahead of critical investments in job creation I say, the middle of the great recession is no time to hold the welfare of the American people hostage to ideological debate. Millions of citizens are suffering and urgent action is needed now. I urge the Congress, the President and All Americans do demand the Senate get back to work immediately to pass a jobs bill that will save jobs and provide needed relief for American families.” Marc Morial is president and CEO of the National Urban League.

2009, we hope every Member of Congress will insist on covering every child and pregnant mother now by enacting and adequately funding the provisions of the All healthy Children Act. Specious claims that we could not find the money—$70 billion over five years—to cover all children is belied by that amount spent in eleven months for tax cuts for the top one percent of richest Americans and in seven months for the iraq War. We do not have a money problem in America: We have a priorities and political will deficit. it is time for all adults to protect the health of our children.

I am from Louisiana and I know our beaches are our home, our way of life and our livelihood. Protecting the coast and cleaning up the beaches is very personal to me. - Keith Seilhan, BP Cleanup

At BP, we have taken full responsibility for the cleanup in the Gulf. We are committed to keeping you informed. Looking For Oil Crews are cleaning Gulf Coast beaches 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When oil is spotted, the Response Command Center is notified, a Shore Cleanup Assessment Team (SCAT) is mobilized and cleanup begins immediately. Cleanup efforts are being coordinated from 17 staging areas in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Over 33,000 people are involved in the cleanup operation. If you see oil on the beach, please call 1-866-448-5816 and we’ll send a team to clean it up. Cleaning Up the Beaches The number of people mobilized to clean up the beaches depends on the size of the affected area. Individual teams can number in the hundreds, and thousands of additional workers remain on-call. Working with the Coast Guard, our teams continue cleaning up until the last bit of oil has been removed. As a result, in most cases when oil reaches a beach, it is even possible to keep it open. Our Responsibility Our beach cleanup operations will continue until the last of the oil has been skimmed from the sea, the beaches and estuaries have been cleaned up, and the region has been pronounced oil-free. And none of the costs of our efforts will be paid by taxpayers. Our commitment is that we’ll be here for as long as it takes. We may not always be perfect, but we will make this right.
