INTRODUCTION my final capstone project was about studying the relationships between the different niches of design. starting with the large scale of architecture and continuing down to interior design, industrial design, furniture and product design, you begin to understand the body at each of the different scales. my ultimate goal is creating a product that can be an interior, worn on the body, and function as a product to benefit the human body.

CHANGE OF FORM The shape of the human form is altered and warped into an unfamiliar shape. The body then encompasses a new form in space. The rounded out details appear as additions of cushion to the body, providing a sense of comfort and privacy to the

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION Unlike a backpack or purse, the Mose is adjustable in wear you are able to put the wieght on the body. You can disperse your belongs throughout the Mose’s interior to provide more comfort to the traditional load-bearing areas, such as the back or shoulder. When the Mose wraps around the body it forms and fits to it, creating a mobile interior. The Mose can be connected by knotting the two ends together at any point to create the

COLOR AND MATERIALS Orange: the blend of red and yellow, is a mixture of the energy associated with red and the happiness associated with yellow. Orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, encouragement, change, determination, health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination.

ORANGE ZIPPER

The orange zipper is the detail that blends in. This zipper is crucial for tying the mose around your body and it is also a double sided zipper, giving it a little more flexibility. This is the largest zipper on the mose.

SMALL ZIPPER

The yellow, gold, and tan zippers are the smaller, more intimate pocket. They store those belongings that you don’t want to lose. They can fit a small notebook. ipad or pens well depending on which pocket you go for.

WHITE ZIPPER

The central large zipper creates an extension out to extand the space the mose is creating. The white is the second to largest pocket with the most amount of storage for more private items as well as comfort.

BODY. space. container

the mose becomes an extension of the body. it is designed for comfort and safety, while allowing change in form through flexibility. the mose can be an extra cushion for the body such as a pillow, armrest, or shoulder pad. the mose changes the way we utilize the body to carry our things.

body . SPACE . container

the mose acts as a space for the body to spread out and think. whether the setting is the beach or the park in the city, you can easily unzip the zippers and define your space. this is especially helpful in the grass or in the sand when you don’t want to be too close to anyone else. the mose is also a space for your stuff to sit or be stored in.

body . space . CONTAINER

the mose acts as a container for the body because it molds and protects it, while inside it it holds one’s belongings and supports each lifestyle. the pockets provide a secure interior and the orange fabric can be used as a blanket to surround and cover the body.

TWO SEATER the mose can fit two people and become a gathering spot. the bright colors send off a warm welcome and the zippers can come apart to show designated seating areas. this waterproof material is perfect for providing a durable barrier between the user and the ground.
