Benjamin Schenk

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. As a designer, my passion lies in the field of sustainability--or design that seeks to give something back to and capitalize on the gifts of nature. My strengths as a designer include feasibility studies, proposals, site analysis, site grading and drainage, design conceptualization, hand and computer renderings, plant materials, pricing, and extensive work with construction documents. Through my work in both small and large, multi-disciplinary firms specializing in residential, urban, and commercial design, I have been exposed to an enormous scope of projects. The key to sustainability is to identify new and innovative ways of melding together the built and natural environments without compromising either one's integrity. It's a challenge but in this day and age of endless population growth and ensuing infrastructural expansion, it is a necessity.
