Some key tasks and responsibilities of the post will include:

Contributing to the wider school community by supporting school events

Marketing the school through the quality of musical performances

Contributing to the enhanced curriculum through after school and extra curricular activities

Ensuring all school assemblies have a musical aspect

Creating opportunities for student performance

Support the development of our orchestra and musical ensembles

Developing opportunities for regular instrumental practice

Monitoring and intervening to ensure student progress is in line with the school’s expectations

Ensuring that teaching and learning within your department encourages engagement and enquiry

Ensuring that departmental tracking, monitoring, assessment and reporting support student learning

Overseeing the Primary Instrumental Programme to ensure a consistently high level of teaching
