Contributing to the wider school community by promoting sporting events

Marketing the school through the quality of sporting events and competitions

Contributing to the enhanced curriculum through after school and extra curricular activities

Promoting sporting initiatives through the website and newsletter

Creating opportunities for student competition

Promoting a spirit of friendly competition

Searching for sponsorship and promoting fundraising opportunities for the FOBISIA team

Creating opportunities for regular training for school teams

Monitoring and intervening to ensure student progress is in line with the school’s expectations

Ensuring that teaching and learning within your department encourages engagement and enquiry

Ensuring that departmental tracking, monitoring, assessment and reporting support student learning

Overseeing the weekend activities programme to ensure a consistently high level of teaching

The performance management of Heads of PE

A commitment to consistently improve his/her own practice;

Ensure compliance with all child protection, child safeguarding and health and safety expectations of the department

All classrooms are attractively furnished, air-conditioned and equipped with WIFI and an interactive whiteboard. The school site has impressive resources and facilities that include music rooms, a well equipped fitness room, guided reading rooms, IT zones, a dance studio, library, theatre and a coffee shop for staff and parents. Outdoor facilities include age specific football pitches, a swimming pool, basketball courts, a climbing wall and an adventure playground. In August 2014 we opened a purpose built KS1 building to cope with unprecedented demand for places. An additional Secondary building will open in January 2016 to meet the needs of our growing number of Secondary students. While facilities in general are considered impressive, the sporting facilities are limited and this can have an impact on training opportunities.
