Berkhamsted Schools Group is a family of leading independent schools based in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, offering high quality education and care for boys and girls aged 5 months to 18 years. We are looking for a full-time Outdoor Education instructor to join our bustling Outdoor Education Department. Nestled on the border of the Chiltern Hills AONB, Berkhamsted School offers a varied programme of outdoor education and extra-curricular activities centred on the school’s ethos of ‘be adventurous’.

The Outdoor Education Department deliver a variety of activities across the schools’ group, as well as delivering activities and experiences for external schools and commercial businesses. The program includes a variety of adventurous activities for pupils, including bushcraft, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, rock climbing, paddle sports, high-ropes, archery, scuba diving, orienteering, team building and overseas expeditions. The department run multiple expeditions each year, with trips to the Brecon Beacons, the Peak District, the Lake District, Sweden, and more.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual with a desire to develop remarkable people by providing outstanding outdoor experiences to our pupils. The successful candidate will be a qualified outdoor instructor with experience providing outdoor education and adventurous activities to young people who is looking to continue to develop themselves professionally.
