4. What did they have to do to be allowed into America (include what happened to them at their port of entry ie: Ellis Island, Angel Island, or other port of entry.)


5. What obstacles did new immigrants in America face? How did they overcome these obstacles?

6. Should they stay or should they go back? (Was America what they thought it would be? List 2 – 3 reasons why they would stay and 2 – 3 reasons they would return to their homeland.)


7. What did immigrants from your country do for America as new citizens. What did they contribute?
