Name _______________________ Objective Each group will research an assigned body system in order to create an informative poster about the body system and its function. By studying and discussing these posters, everybody in the class will ultimately learn about each body system. Each ith each other. Directions Part I: Learning about body systems 1. Research your assigned body system to create a poster on butcher paper that has the following items: a. A color diagram of the body system with major organs, tissues and/or parts labeled correctly. A list of cells that make up the body system should be included on the side. b. Below the diagram (or on another sheet of butcher paper), the following should be written out. Make sure your handwriting is large enough to read. Name of body system Location of system in body Main functions of the body system Function of each organ or part in the body system Diseases associated with the body system Ways to keep the body system healthy 2. Make sure group names are on the poster(s) and hang it up. 3. After all posters are hung up, visit each one as a group. Write down notes and discuss each body system your group visits. Also write down any questions you have. Remaining questions will be discussed as a class. Part II: Interaction of body systems 1. Now it is time for you to brainstorm how each of the body systems you have learned about interact with each other. 2. 3. With this other group, brainstorm how your specific body systems might interact with each other. 4. When your teacher instructs you, pick a spokesperson to share what your groups have brainstormed with the class. 5. Steps 2-4 will be repeated until you have interacted with all body systems.
