"The war for the soul of America." "The war for the soul of America."

Introduction The African-American Civil Rights Movement was a series of reform movements, which aimed to protest the growing racial discrimination against people of African-American origin, in the United States from 1955 to 1968. This movement was started and led by some African-American leaders who were pained at the racist and discriminatory social practices and behavior being meted out to them. As a result, they organized themselves to conduct protest rallies and demonstrations which went on to become the voice of the African-Americans and a historic movement in American history. Martin Luther King Jr. And Rosa Park were both men and woman that famously well known for being the leaders of civil rights movement. However, After the late 60’s the civil right movement has being ended. For more then 4 decades we could see contrast changes has happened. SURFING THE NET. I http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/recent/ civil_rights_america_05.shtml

Aspects:

On this first website I found an article which contain the information about current change of African American’s race in Global scale. The World could see after the Civil right movements in late 60's, Black African American has spread-widely develop their standards of living. The writer tried to show the change over time from the moment when the movement was started . A paragraph of introduction could strongly show the contrasted achievement that African American has done after the a road of full struggle for freedom. Attitudes Suggest:

It is a good article on such a convincing world well known Website such BBC this website have the direct audience which are open for public, However I think the author could have been use more appropriate language. Changing the word Black with African-American could make this web better in the usage of language. The content is clear, well organize and informative enough. 6 small parts of the article provided different perspectives and taken from period of time : from the beginning until the conclusion by the author. It is also use source in a critical manner at the last page. However, the author could create much more stronger conclusion because the information on 2 the last article are generally known.

Aspects Seeing the home page of the website, I could see latest news about civil right latest news from different places around the globe. For example there the latest article title : 'Why is the Zionist Media Lysing So much about the Trayvon Martin Shooting?'. Another unconvincing title 'Proof of Media Bias in Cross Race Crime' Without no doubt I take a conclusion that this website doesn’t have enough objective on what to discussed and the topic information are not understandable. Attitudes Suggest First of all, the blog header contained inappropriate sentence which stated: European American Unity and Rights Organization. and the motto ' The website for Europeans and American Wherever they may Live' its such an evidence that this website is bias because from the strong language we could know there is manipulation of the purpose of this website. Any Author doesn’t well updated any kind of source in compiling the informative. Confusing the Audience with the words in the article could slowly manipulate the audience. This website could be categorized as biassed source especially for student. Strong words and unclear language are seen which could leads to wrong understanding. 3

Only some article in this web contain the name of the author. Even worse, the owner of the website are also write the name of the 15th President of The United Stated which has been passed away. However, his inability to impose peace on sharply divided partisans on the brink of the Civil War has led to his consistent ranking by historians as one of the worst president. The owner this website couldn't use his name to suspect that the ideology of the website came from him. A better organization of the web itself should have a lot of improvement. This web doesn't contain any content support or any author’s educational background. Once we check on the link 'Special Media Education' it doesn't provide anything and left with white blank site. I quoted from the linked site of an article that the author was a famous icon who once a leader in Klu Kloks Klan. Another evidence which clearly proved that this website are trying to manipulate the reader understanding to the history. Although, I myself couldn't understand perfectly the main aspect that the author want to brought up to the surface. Uncleared one point of view are continuously being state .This website has also brought up America's Current President deliberation, President Barrack Obama. Even more, the Author could have been using appropriate typing skill such as inappropriate upper case usage for title.

“Any of these threes Sites might be biased?” Obviously, from the comparison above the evidence could showed and stated the reason. I believe the last website which is Whitecivirights.com might be biased. Here’s some fact why: First the website use strong language and unclear direction or identical background information of the website aim of the author. Furthermore this website stated a lot of facet with specific time.

Any page of the website doesn’t works citied the source or provide extended link to related article. It also doesn’t have open form for discussion from the article. Even more, inappropriate language and point of view could confused the reader and also manipulate the fact. If we click the listed article on the left hand side, its provided link into subdomain site to the www2.davidduke.com. Accordding to Wikipedia www2 are subdomain mirrors site used

for server load balancing. Furthermore, David Duke was known as former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan former Republican Louisiana State Representative. Above we could see strong language that has been use over ally in the website. I believe this is a subjective source for learning material.

The photographer of this picture is Flip Schulke, He was a photojournalist who covered wide range of historically important works was of Martin Luther and the civil right. He was once worked in a black magazine. Schulke never covered a war, was never on the front lines in a foreign country but he was on the front lines of the American civil right movement in the 1960s. His work was riveting and widely published. There are more than 500.000 of His photography that have been donated to Center of American History as media archives

I choose this picture because it shows how African-American activist are struggling with the terror of their action in achieving freedom. By exposing the tragedies of segregated life in the deep South, these images transformed to nation and the world that the hard work had been payed off. It is true that the truth will be revealed,,but without encourage of the activists, they wouldn’t able to deserve fair treatment as they enjoyed today. However the African-American race has strong evidence to showed their own effort to achieve equality and justice for their life. I’m sure that not all ‘Black people’ has involved for this change, although each people in the picture symbolized each family from different segregated states. With team works, time and numbers of brave men and woman has proven that their work has been completely surprised the world. Passed down through generations, looking at the collection of black-and-white photographs is like taking a step back in time to look ‘How far we’ve got’ as a Black race. This picture has spreads understandably represent an array of artistic styles and media, yet an evidence of how the situation back in the moment.

Remember When

A reflection of Black Activist, after Montgomery Boycott

December 8 ,1955 ( a week after the Montgomery Boycott) It is getting colder in here. The sun still shining replaced the darkness of the night which slowly disappeared from the East to the West. The debate of last week’s event was keep happening. They couldn’t make any consideration to reach a fair position for both side until midnight. As what I’ve heard from the radio, today my race are still going to isolate themselves inside the house. The situation outside remained unstable, uncontrollable, unpredictable. Means, its been a week since the Boycott-tragedy. Worse thing to think about is the fact that our food storage are almost fully empty. It’s funny how many times in this week I should repeatedly remind myself that going to super market might be extremely dangerous. Obviously, preventing any kind of mass destruction is the most realistic way to stay alive for now. Theres only small amount of them which probably are struggling out there, maybe. After a view times hearing about what has happened with the boycott, I seriously feel even worthless than I’ve had before. No one would ever want to be in the prison for his/her seating right in the bus. No one. Do they want it? Of course they won’t.And so are we. Argumentation about whose right or wrong has never possible to be answered. I have questioned myself: ‘Am I that different?’ and ‘Are we that different? Let see how this affect my life. For short terms, lets say a week from now. If I couldn’t go outside the house anywhere between tonight or tomorrow morning, My family would be in complete hunger for the next 24 hours. Since the weather outside has became colder we need more food supplies. We still have some, although a normal portion has been divided for 2 people .Thank God, at least we have something for today. Look further, 48 or maybe 60 hours without food and only plain water are not acceptable for this time of the year. This is intolerable. Long terms, I feel frightened in looking 10 years from now. Probably In the future, I’m not sure whether if my children are still able to experience the life adventure out there. I don't want to see my children planting weak mentality, just like what I am now. Writing in this journal is like recording my voice, the only gateway from all the protest I heard everyday from people around me. I wondered: Where should I start my new life which able me to have justice and peace? What is the future existence of my race? Are they dying slowly or keep surviving? When are we going to be separate from this unfair, immoral treatment? Think critically about, How such a big affect they have made, for us now and for the future. 13

It is really hard to swallow the fact of why this thing should have been brought to the surface. I wonder why do they think it is completely wrong to have different skin color? Even deeper: Why it has been started in the first place? Who did start the war? Do they even think about how we feel? Did they realize we all spending hours toward low-intelligent life in the future? Do they know their ego and ignorance could be bring violence and hatred? Do they still have just a little heart to care? Where the anger are still stick inside my heart, but in mind I believe each one of us perceive the fact we couldn’t do anything. In fact, being isolated has been feel ordinary. Being able to receive the bullies has always been normal. Most of all, even I have almost forgot how to walk with confidence, be brave and feels good about myself. So,Where is the justice and equality? It is Black or White is much more than important then the beauty of human nature?

Luke 6:27-28 in The bible said, "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you and bless for those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” This verse has reminded me to see this misery positively. Subconsciously, their unfair treatments has : made me stronger to forgive for those who hurt me. I’m doing it not for them ,but to keep my heart clean from all of those negativity. It teaches me to wisely pick what I should think about and whats don't. It teaches me to be stronger as a life time survival who continuously play my best part in any kind of situation. Here is the situation where I could learn to be thankful for whatever I have. To be alive is a mystery and precious gift. Lastly, I believe every people should pay for what they do. Harvest what we’ve planted, just like the hard work that will be payed off. However, I hope the tragedy could remind ourself that action are much more powerful than just argument protests. I’m sure the Boycott has taught us how to be braver in taking action and start be the change we want to see , for our future. Reaching for freedom might be too high like reaching for stars in the sky. But it is possible because I want to see a peace and better live for myself, my race, and for my country. Hope everything turn out well, soon.
