Dear Parent, Some of you may not want to hear this, but it is now only 7 weeks to Christmas and even less till the School Christmas Festival, which this year is on Wednesday 5th December, commencing at 5.30pm. This year’s festival is going to have a wide selection of treats on offer with a wide spread of stalls selling everything from food through to toys, books and clothes. The popular chocolate tombola will be back, along with the traditional Christmas Hamper Raffle, and we have a number of games for the children to enter and win a prize, not to mention refreshments in the form of Mulled Wine, mince pies and hot dogs. If you would like to have a stall at this year’s Christmas Festival then please text or call me on 07972 475902 or email me at trevor.keep@hotmail.co.uk. Stalls will be £8 each, after which all takings on the night are yours. We will be having a second hand toys, clothes and books stall, for which we need your donations, so if you have any toys, clothes and books that you are finished with and which someone else could benefit from then please do collect them up and drop them into the school office for us to sell and make someone else’s Christmas something very special. As mentioned above, we will of course be selling refreshments on the night, for which we would really like some donations of mince pies and cakes – be it homemade or bought. If you are able to support us in this area then please bring them into the school office w/c 3rd December or if bringing them on the day then please take to the main hall after school. This year, the Christmas Hamper Raffle will be back and attached you will find two strips of raffle tickets. At 30p a ticket or £1.50 a strip you will have a great opportunity to win and take home a great hamper of goodies to enjoy at Christmas. If you want to enter this year’s raffle please write your child’s name and class on the back of each ticket on one half of the attached strips, tear that same half off, pop them in an envelope and then with your payment please hand in at the school office. Tickets will also be on sale on the night should you wish to purchase more.
