Dear Parents Dear Parents, ‘Tis the season to be jolly tra la la la la (lal la la la!) There are members of staff and children with match-sticks keeping their eyes open at the minute. They’re fighting colds and sore throats just to get through to the end of term and they’re all heroes (well heroines and one hero) for it. It seems like an ideal opportunity for me to pay tribute to our wonderful school staff as they head-off for a well earned break. I’ve never been involved with such a hard-working group of people, so committed. So—thank you to them.
you would find it hard to pick faults. However, with Niki it is impossible. She is conscientious, committed, unflappable, an excellent role-model and a genuine ‘nice-person’ and it won’t be until she’s not here that we realise, I think, just how much we respect and appreciate those values. I’m trying not to think about it too much to be honest—the time is fast approaching. Good luck Mrs Roberts—we’ll all be saying goodbye in our Blandford St Mary way over the next week or so— but on behalf of everybody: a heartfelt ‘Thank you and good luck’ from us all. Sniff... ... Anyway:
Of course—we’re very excited to have a new addition to our number—Emma Barton has begun her role in the office this month and has started brilliantly— she will, no doubt, be a fantastic addition to the school. But of course—we are about to lose one of our number and it would be sad whoever that was. But, I think we are all aware of the impact that Niki Roberts has had on school and the impact it will have in her leaving. There are very few people in the world today about whom
As for the rest of us: Have a merry Christmas—enjoy the break (and more snow?) and we’ll see you rested and ready to go in the New Year. You never know—we may have some school inspectors here ready to welcome us when we return (hurrah!) - we’ll keep you informed in the new term. All the best...
