Notice board

This year Blandford Rugby Football Club has had a hugely successful season. The senior 1st team won their league, have been promoted into the Southern Counties league and they have won the Junior Plate. Of the two senior teams around 55% came up through the Junior section. Blandford Rugby Football Club is a successful, family orientated club, where players of all levels are welcomed and encouraged to play rugby as part of a team. The club is motivated, forward thinking, and looking to improve in all areas. All coaching staff have the appropriate RFU training, CRB clearance and 1st aid training. We are looking for players of all ages to join Blandford Rugby Football Club Junior section. Children from 4 years old up to young adults of 17 years can play for the Junior squads in an enjoyable, challenging and healthy environment. The Rugby World Cup starts in September 2011. Combining this with the success of the club, we would like to offer a number of activities for the children in the area. Remember, England have got to the final in the last two Rugby World Cups and won the one in 2003. In a build up over the summer we are running a number of Beach Touch Rugby days as a way of introducing children to the fun and team bonding aspects of rugby. These start on Sunday 15th May (09:30am) at Knoll Beach, Studland and will be held every month until the season starts in September (see website for more details). The first day of the season is 4th September, less than a week before the start of the Rugby World Cup. As well as playing rugby, the club holds a firework display and Children’s Christmas Party before the end of the year. The summer activities, and as a special promotion the first three training sessions at the start of the season, will be free for all new players. This will allow everyone to experience Community Rugby and if they enjoy it, the cost of joining the club is less than £2 per week for the whole season. This includes coaching by RFU qualified coaches, match fees, match food, presentations at the end of the season and access to the clubhouse facilities for parents and children. For more information and to get email – louis.minchella@sky.com your voucher for the free training or visit the website www.blandfordrfc.com sessions contact Louis Minchella, or call - 01258 450665
