This 4km course is built for anyone who wants to have fun, challenge themselves, get extremely dirty and test out a high quality course! Here we think there is nothing better than a nice icy bath, a pit full of mud, a bit of construction mayhem, a wipeout or two, the occasional spare tyre, an obstacle called the edge and that atomic drop finish. Why don’t you be the judge? **All participants will receive a registration pack upon check in at the event. Who are we? Out for Australia’s mission is to provide visible role models, mentors, and other support to aspiring LGBTIQ professionals and to strengthen the sense of community among professionals and students. What do we do? Out for Australia is an organisation that seeks to support and mentor aspiring LGBTIQ professionals as they navigate their way through the early stages of their career. We aim to bring the community together, to offer a supportive and nurturing environment for which people can network, build relationships and assist each other in their professional journeys.

FREE BOOTCAMP

Res are offering to pay for 16 lucky people to participate in the upcoming Boot Camp – Interested in participating for FREE read on. Boot Camp is a 4-week program designed to enhance cardiovascular fitness, increase muscle strength and endurance, and burn fat. The program consists of a variety of training methods including Interval & Functional Training to help you increase your strength, power, balance and flexibility. Dates: Tuesday 18th August to Thursday 10th September 2015 Times:

4pm to 4.45pm

How to enroll for free To be eligible you must attend 7 of the 8 sessions. If you are unable to attend at least 7, the cost (approx. $40) will be added to your res fees. If Res is paying for you, we want to make sure you are attending and not taking someone else’s place who would be in attendance. FIRST 16 to register will get in. Registrations open from 5/8/15 – 16/8/15 or until full!

As an extra incentive if you attend every session from 18th August to 3rd September (6 sessions) you will receive FREE entry into the Deakin Dash Obstacle Course on Saturday 5th September.

Easy chicken minestrone Ingredients 

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 carrot, chopped

2 sticks celery, chopped

400g can diced tomatoes

4 cups (1 litre) Campbell's Real Stock Chicken

100g small pasta shapes

400g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

2 tablespoons chopped continental parsley

1 small BBQ chicken, breast meat only, skin removed & shredded

Shaved parmesan cheese

Method 1.

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring for 1-2 minutes. Add carrot and celery and cook, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes or until softened.

Add diced tomatoes, chicken stock and 1 cup of water and bring to the boil. Add pasta, stir until it comes back to the boil, then cook for 8-10 minutes or until tender.

Stir through chickpeas, parsley and chicken, bring back to a simmer and season to taste. Soup should be thick and hearty. Ladle hot soup into large bowls, sprinkle with parmesan. Serve immediately with crusty fresh bread.
