staying for T3 (Remember, you don’t have to be studying!)

wishing to extend your stay for just a few extra days/weeks/months

Clean Up Before You Check Out! No matter when you plan on checking out, you MUST leave your room/studio apartment in a clean and tidy state. For those at BSV and the MB Shared Apartments, your RLs have created cleaning rosters for check-out. You will not only be responsible for cleaning your bedroom, but communal areas as well. Everyone in BSV and MB Shared Apartments will be assigned a specific cleaning task, so please see your

RL as soon as possible for details on cleaning expectations. If your room is left dirty or if you do not contribute to the cleaning of common areas, charges will apply and an encumbrance will be placed on your Deakin account. You will not be able to access your results or re-enrol until the charges are paid. 3

Damaged Doors There have been a number of doors found damaged around MB and BSV of recent weeks. The damage is happening at the hinges of the door where the hinges are breaking apart the timber, lowering the door and therefor it does not close properly. The cause of this damage seems to be chocking of doors open. This is putting pressure on the lower part of the door, warping the door and tearing the hinges from the timber. Due to this damage, any studio/shared apartment/unit where the doors are found to be damaged due to chocking the door open will be responsible for paying the replacement cost. If you do not wish to be charged for replacing a door, please do not chock the door open at any time. We thank you for your assistance with this matter. - Burwood Residential Team.

Joke of the Week I wrote a song about a tortilla. Well actually, it’s more of a wrap!

If you have an appropriate joke or limerick that you’d like featured in the bulletin, send it through to Amy: amylong@deakin.edu.au 6
