We have created a program to provide the missing link in the innovation process - being the steps required in moving a scientific idea toward commercial reality. We also want to provide our young scientists with commercialization skills to carry forward into their careers and lives. The talent that exists in schools across the island is evident each year in the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. We want to take that one step further and arm these students with the business skills they need to turn good ideas into potential commercial opportunities.

This year, BT has partnered with NovaUCD, the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at University College Dublin. NovaUCD has a very strong and successful track record in commercialising technology and supporting entrepreneurs and innovators. We are delighted that Restored Hearing, www.restoredhearing. com, joint runner up at the 2009 YSTE awards, won a major prize at the NovaUCD enterprise awards in November 2010, in their Campus Company Development Programme.

The BT Vehicle For Change offers your organisation an interactive experience. It addresses your challenges and requirements in an innovative and 'live' environment. In today's uncertain world the challenges businesses face are more intense than ever: achieving cost leadership whilst innovating and investing for the future; balancing the consolidation of local markets while growing global capability; ensuring operational predictability and managing risk and, most importantly, serving customers better, faster and at lower cost. While the challenges are clear, too often the answer is not. Many executives realise the potential for Information Communication Technology (ICT), and its latest evolution Cloud Computing, to transform their business but it has to be easy to buy, risk-free, energy efficient and available when and where their people need to use it.

The solutions demonstrated on the BT Vehicle For Change can help organisations towards reducing their costs by up to 30%. What's on the BT Vehicle For Change?

You will find our solutions grouped into key issues for businesses 1. Making your organisation more efficient
